What did you expect Canelito to say?

Floyd's punches had him dragging his back leg like he has some neurological issues.

Chuckie is not a pressure fighter....he cannot hold the center of the ring...PERIOD...that's how he is.

The guys at 154 are slobbering at the thought of feasting on Canelito's sorry as.s.

Firstly, I think Canelo saying PBF punches weren;t hard is BS considering I saw his head get knocked back a few times.

Secondly, I believe Hatton said the same thing (that he felt Canelo didn't 'go for it')
Personally I believe PBF shut him out and Canelo was suprised by his ability and just did not have a plan B.

And that is what is so funny. Because during all access he said how to beat Floyd you need a Plan A, B, C, D, etc. And yet during the fight it was obvious they didn't. This made Leonard Ellerbe look like a genius when he said Canelo's team is inept.

Canelo fans are in denial. They were the ones who over inflated his hype, elevated him knowing that his record was build for him.

If you take a look at last Saturday episode of "Golpe a Golpe" (ESPN Boxing show in Spanish). They had Nacho Berstain (SP?) and they (host and Nacho) completely agreed and openly talked about Canelo being exposed, how his record is hyperinflated, how he only fought old man, people too small, and how he became a champion fighting for an open belt with an individual who has NEVER fought at 154lb before. The talked about how his carreer has been paded for him, how they build his record and how he did not EARN his belt the hard way, it was a given.

Nacho tore Canelo a new asz. It was ugly. Very, very interesting episode. Must see.

    :rofl

The reason he didn't take chances was because he wasn't seasoned enough and he wasn't willing to walk through fire like Hagler to Hearns to get to Floyd !

He thought he could outhink the thinker.

He ended up being soundly nuillified of any combat effectiveness.

He lost heart, until it was too late.

He had one of the worst possible gameplans you can actually think of when fighting Mayweather- he tried to outbox one of the greatest boxers to ever lace them up.

He didn't use his weight advantage to the best of his ability, his best chance was to pressure Mayweather early on (easier said than done though,) and his lack of volume punching allowed Floyd to dictate the pace early on. After the 3rd or 4th round it became quite apparent that Canelo was fighting this way just to ensure he could retain his stamina for the latter rounds.

He couldn't cut the ring off on mayweather and it's no shame to say that, FLoyd looked like a mongoose in that fight, darting in and out as he pleased. It was interesting to see that Floyd barely hit him with his lead right hand, a punch that he's been using so effectively for the past 5 or 6 years and is essentially his money punch. Maybe Canelo had a gameplan for that, but he surely didn't have one for that left jab to the body and upstairs, which found him all night long.

Just a terrible gameplan by his team, and even more disappointing that he seemingly didn't have any other gameplans to enforce/improvise.

Canelo didn't push the fight because he didn't want to get hit. For all those that say Floyd does not hit that hard, this fight shows that he has some pop in his punches. Canelo would have just walked him down if the punches has no affect.
