Not sure Fury can win it this time without Steward in his corner.

Most media reports are full of ****. You have to bare in mind Sky take 50% of the payment and that's before you go into tax, sparring, training etc........ Nevermind that he's going 50/50 with his foe.

I was naming Sprott purely for how easy the fight could be made and it would make Fury look good as we all know the outcome and he's a better name for the casuals than tne likes of Hamer. I do think Hamer would be a good fight and half decent test as he has decent speed and wouldn't be a hard fight to make I imagine.

well...I think sam s e x t o n would be a decent warm-up.....fury would be confident of a handy win.....s e x t o n's a mate of wladamirs now so fury could use that angle to wind-up wladamir.....s e x t o n would give it a go in good shape on the back of the wlad sparring sessions and it would be a good payday.
and s e x t o n wouldnt have to be brought in so it would be easy made...and people would look on him as a credible opponent as a warm-up to haye, who is a similar size (thereabouts).
    just thinking aloud :)

Jennings, Wilder and Tarver are looking for opponents.

Lewinson, Molina, Hammer and Oquendo are OK.

How about M. Grant or T. Thompson?

Fury should take a nice matchup, make some money, climb the rankings. The Haye fight is not a sure thing anymore.

Fury would be mad to take any fight before Haye.

Fury might never again get the chance to win 5 million. When Haye beats him Fury's stock will go right down.

Fury has every chance of beating Haye. especially if Haye doesn't get him out early.

he should take a nice fight against a durable but limited fighter.

if Fury loses to haye he will easily be able to come back especially since the British boxing fans hold haye in such a high regard. which I've never understood. and Fury is only 24.

Andrzej Wawrzyk, Mike Mollo, Tor Hammer or maybe someone like Tony Grano could be options.

5 pages of pretty decent thoughts!

Putting your matchmaking hat on, rather than fan's hat or forum credibility one ...

    Fury needs someone

    - to look good against
    - who is a similar size to Haye
    - doesn't have a dangerous KO%

The goal is purely to keep Fury active, increase his popularity and maybe learn a few more things.

The best suggestions so far I would say are:

    Tony Grano
    Tor Hamer
    Sam S.exton

Sam seems the best option for me, UK based. Peter has recently put Hughie on one of his shows in Norwich. Comes to fight, good skills and footwork. Same size as Haye (a little bit taller and heavier) AND featherfisted.

UK based and currently sparring Wlad.

    Let's get it done!!! :good

Well, I see the PPV selling very well indeed. It will be (or would have been) the biggest selling PPV in the UK since Haye fought Klitschko.

For that reason, £5million sounds right, but yeah, I don't know how they slice it all up. Tyson probably ends up with some shiny new toys and wad of cash.
