a little over a year and a half ago people here were comparing canelo to tyson, holyfield and toney and then saying alvarez would beat prime vargas and curry.

although im not agreeing with a hagler/margo comparason in antonios defense he is the only one to have ko'd sergio and only one of two people to beat him. also beat an undefeated cotto and cintron and prime clottey.

canelos hypothetical wins over vargas and curry were made before he even decisioned trout in a very unimpressive victory.

 

what was so dreadful about losing a close fight with cotto? it was hardly a dreadful showing

Someone posted a VIDEO of arum ordering Margarito to challenge Floyd and YOU believed that Floyd was scared.

 

I am trying to picture how messed up Margarito's face would be from all the punches he would take. Margarito was a flat footed slow as **** who blocked punches with his face. He would have got obliterated.

@ anyone who thinks a flat footed fighter is going to beat Mayweather.

 

What I don't understand is this guys like Corrales, Gatti, Chavez, C.Hernandez, Judah hell even guys like Baldomir, Corley, Guerrero and to a lesser extent Ortiz have all fought/beat better fighters and/or are more accomplished then Margarito. Yet Mayweather beating them means nothing yet Margarito with his "great victories over who Cintron, Clottey(seriously) beating this guy was going to push mayweather over the edge as an ATG GTFOH. No matter how entertaining you think he was the fact remains the only notable Margo has ever done is possibly cheat vs Cotto. A win over margarito, cintron, clottey, and to a lesser extent williams means nothing because no matter how scary you look its about what you actually do and none of them have done **** to even be considered as a waiter for a HOF ceremony

 

Floyd (on paper) would have prob won a "Fencing" match but his light **** would hardly do any real damage to Tony. (Laughing the entire fight @ May)

To be honest if Floyd had fought Paquaio & Margarito it would have been great to see what happened & who really did win. But sadly ***** Floyd lacked the cojones of a REAL champion & ducked both.
