hamed did duck floyd at 130 or a cw of 128.

...and shane did duck a fight with floyd when shane was on a 2 fight losing streak and floyd called him out.

Floyd is now "the man" at 154 lbs and Martinez has said he'd be willing to come down to 154 lbs in the past anyway. It's not a big stretch either way.

Cotto was too green when that statement was made. He wasn't just a few years later when he was willing to make the fight and Floyd retired citing his health.

The Pacquiao/Floyd drama has been done to death. At best, it's a 50/50 split as to which party is more to blame in the fight not happening. And now Pacquiao is willing to do anything but he's old news to Floyd compared to such luminaries as Guerrero and Ortiz. Tells you all you need to know as to where the primary blame should be placed.

There are others throughout Floyd's history as well, and nobody is afraid of Floyd's chilling knockout power or his aggressive style. In my view, it's clear that Floyd just isn't about legacy fights. But regardless of the reason, the fact is, Floyd just doesn't have the names on his resume to compare to the best ATGs.

It's quite funny, nobody gave a shit when he was mostly himself after the Olympics and putting on Boxing Clinics in his 130 days. So he decided to make a Business move and create the 'Money' Mayweather persona with the first 24-7 against De La Hoya.

He is in his 4th weight divsion as a WW and is routinely outweighed there, never mind 154 where he cant even make the full limit.

Bob had no intention of putting any of his guys in there with Floyd. Funny how soon as cotto leaves the fight gets made.

They dont have to be afraid of his KO power but they know exactly what they see when they watch floyd. Tremendous skill, High IQ and great defense...a wide UD loss which they will receive.

Name these other fighters he missed and then give a time frame of when he missed them.

margo from the mitchell fight to baldo fight to when he went to the fake retirement.

prime cotto -when floyd went to the fake retirement.

closer to prime shane -when floyd went to the fake retirement.

williams- when floyd went to hide with fake retirement.

How do WW's duck MW's? That has never been the case ever in the history of the sport of Boxing. So why all of a sudden is it the case now with Floyd?

Again, if Floyd wants to call himself the best, he needs to make moves to prove it. Going up in weight to take on Martinez or GGG(neither of which are exactly Hagler) after establishing himself as the best fighter at 154 is a logical step for legacy and at least Martinez would be one of Floyd's better money fights available. He's even a faded fighter at this point, which Floyd clearly doesn't mind taking on in most cases. Floyd cherry-picks based on style and matchup. It didn't matter that Canelo was a lot bigger than Floyd when his struggles with Trout and Gomez clearly showed that he didn't have the style to trouble Floyd(especially being drained, something which Floyd stated he didn't do). The size doesn't bother Floyd, it's the danger factor of the styles and level of the fighters in question. Floyd is safety-first in all regards.

The money involved would more than cancel the downsides of fighting Floyd out for most fighters and if you lose, you lost to the best. Everything points to Floyd not making the fights, not the other way around.

Dodong already listed most of the fighters but I'd throw in Casamayor and Tszyu back in the day.

I respect Mayweather from 130 to 135, That's it, he's resume at 140 is very weak at 147 is ok not great at 154 he's biggest win was a close fight against an old part time coke head boxer, that's it.
