Is that Rigo? Maybe the second most embarrassing thing in his life, behind getting schooled by Ishida and relying on a hometown gift to kick off his brief paper title run.

    delusional.

even if canelo were to have had a career moment where all the stars lined up perfectly on 9/14 and he successfuly timed and caught floyd with a shot(ala tarver/jones 2) it still does not make up for the fact that he is 5'7" with abnormally short legs and bad footwork, low output and no real one punch power in either hands with ten ounce gloves.

his team really thinks that canelo will be a p4p king at some point. theyre not saying this because theyre getting paid to.

canelo is so average and will again be made to look so against molina like he was with both trout and floyd.

His Boxing IQ was far lower. You don't try and outbox the Master Boxer.

    i disagree.

i actually think that canelos ring iq is one of his strongest attributes. hes very patient and picks his spots wisely to conserve his limited punch output. hes clearly aware of his numerous limitations. his ring iq has helped him to convince people that hes something that hes not...a championship level boxer.

if he didnt box floyd then what?

use his limited gas tank pressuring mayweather(and getting countered) to only run out of gas in the eigth round and then subsequently getting kod or take a sustained beating?

with the skills that he has canelo did the absolute best he could on 9/14 leading to the absolute best possible outcome.

he got schooled but did not get beat up.

mayweather barely made 150, i think him weighing 15 lbs less than canelo actually was to his benefit, he was able to use his speed to his advantage. this was a mirror image of chavez vs martinez, chavez came in way heavier than martinez but was not able to catch him til the twelfth round when sergio decided to trade with him. we may have seen a similar outcome had mayweather decided to trade with canelo but he does not have the warrior mentality like that. mayweather is comfortable cruising to a decision. i just do not care for that style of fighting, i like a fighter that will ko, knock down, wobble, cut up and batter his opponent not just cruise to decisions. he is a great boxer no doubt about it but he lacks the killer instinct.

I laughed when I first saw this but now that I actually saw the show it's not so bad. All he said was he it getting the tattoo because his bro and team have waited for this day forever. He never said anything about getting the tattoo because that was the day his bro would beat Floyd.

I wouldn't be ashamed really, if anything it's the date your brother made 10.5 million. Still something your family can be proud of.

It was a $12 million con job. His family is smiling all the way to the bank. Every boxing expert out there knew this would be a joke fight. It was a joke fight. However it was the night the Canelo family cash in all the chips on one of the greatest con jobs in boxing history. Right up there with Cooney when he had so much hype against Holmes.

Okay I should have stated the hype behind the fight was a joke. It was never going to be a close fight.

Canelo is just another guy. He did not look any better than most the top Jr. Middleweights would look against Floyd.

It was a joke that people got hyped up for a guy that was not even there to go all out for a victory.
