    just saw this..

"BRITISH and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (right) could be back in action later this year.

The 6ft 8in Liverpool boxer split with trainer Franny Smith after back-to-back defeats against American Tony Thompson.

Price is believed to have spent time working with a number of trainers in recent weeks, but is yet to decide what handler to team up with.

Although the British Boxing Board of Control have not ordered the contest it looks certain that new European champion Dereck Chisora will become his mandatory challenger."

Could be a *******. Price has the power to put Del Boy away, but it certainly wouldn't come early. Would be a real test of that stamina having Chisora walking him down for 6-8 rounds.

i think its too high risk for both that fight.
price, despite last two outings, can most definetly bang....chisora has the tools to be another thompson for price.

price will be looking to rebulid safely i think
chisora will be looking for big paydays or fights to give him a route to another world belt shot.

No way will Price take this.

At the very best, this would be 50:50 leaving Price with the very real possibility of 3 successive KO defeats.

It would be an almost suicidal gamble for the big scouser.

I doubt that all sides would want this fight this year. Price needs to address stamina issues and face a couple of British level fighters first. Chisora may have mandatory commitments with his Euro title.

Why is Del Boy mandatory challenger for the British title anyway? He hasn't been active at that level for years.

battle of the chins here. chisora could crack the fragile one with one of his weak inaccurate
thudding barrages. price could dismantles chisora's solid chin with 1 big right. who lands first! chisora would be favourite as he has proven times he can hang at give tough fights to world class opponents.

I think a fight with Chisora could happen, but as mentioned before its the complete wrong fight to come back into after being knocked out twice in a row.

Problem with Price, is that he is still British & Commonwealth champion & the BBBC won't let him fight Journeymen so he can get back into the swing of things. He will probably be tested straightaway.

Also Price doesn't have the stamina for 12 rounds, which he showed in his last fight.

Lets be honest i wouldnt even put price in with cunningham i think he would get smashed.

The sort of opponent he needs is zack page durable and can give him the rounds that he wants.

he also said he would fight wilder in a heartbeat which would also be a silly move because if he quit againts thompson then its quite possible he would quit when wilder starts to land the big bombs.

i know wilder has not been tested but haye did say the guy will be a world champion one day so he has to be taken seriously until he is exsposed.

i know haye isnt the biggest truth teller in the world but ive never heard him say that about any other heavyweight he has been in camp with.

The problem with Price is he is not a natural fighter. He is a complete nervous wreck and wastes a lot of stamina with his nervous energy. That's why if he hasn't banged an opponent out within the first few rounds he completely runs out of gas.

I heard that before one of the Thompson fights he was a complete jibbering wreck and was crying and vomitting. This is the truth.
