Eleider Alvarez fights on HBO tonight, so if he looks good, they have a fight.

Yeah, I'd forgotten 'bout that. Eleider did actually mention Kovalev as a potential opponent in a recent interview, and the kid has some decent talent.
A quality win over Miranda certainly puts him in the running but perhaps a couple more step-up fights are required.

Be interesting to see Kovalev in a fight where the whole building boos him from start to finish.

I give Hopkins the best chance of beating Kovalev, because of his experience and ring smarts, next would be Ward (same as B-Hop, but because he would have to come up he would be at a disadvantage), next Stevenson because of his power, then the rest

Agreed. And Braehmer seems a bit of a headcase. Doesn't seem as committed as it would take to step in the ring with a guy like Kovalev. But, you never know.

Seems like the network is beginning to build Sanchez. Let's see how it goes.

    You're screaching like a sodomized prison inmate.

    STFU

All ya'll do is TRY to cut-down Black fighters around here.

Americans have produced ATG 175lb fighters....excuse us if we expect more from a 30 something fighter than the dreaded Nathan Cleverly and a bunch of no-hopers.

Kovalev's resume is meager for a 20 year old fighter much less one in his 30's.

It's true...i'm not making this up.

Kovalev just ducked a 50 y/o Hopkins...fu.ck is that all about.???

He'll get the Vasilly Jirov treatment soon as he steps up:deal:deal

That was the case in his last fight, against Cleverly in Wales.

He is kind of green for KOvalev. I didn't have plans to watch his fight with Miranda but now I will since he is possible opponent of KOvalev.

yes, before alvarez got the ok for liranda, hbo asked GYM if they had someone for kovalev...they said yes, alvarez, his trainer and yvon michel all agreed saying anytime, but then they got the ok from the miranda camp...so my guess is if alvarez beats miranda, he will be the next guy for kovalev

    Kovalev-Alvarez would be a nice HBO co-event for Nov 30, with Stevenson-Bellew.

    Hope for a Kovalev-Stevenson showdown.

I think both men are up for it!

stevenson/kovalev will not happen till late 2014 or maybe even 2015...stevensons team has a plan and kovy is not part of it..not yet sat least..

stevensons next opponents should follow like this in order(if all goes well)

    bellew
    bhop
    froch
    ward

kovalev is somewhere after these guys...but from what i know and from what yvon michele said, these are the next opponents for stevenson if groupe GYM can make these fights happen....but i dont see ward takin the fight especially at 175...but iwould love to see froch and b-hop against him

You're like a one trick pony on the Jirov comparisons. Kovalev doesn't fight anything like Jirov, and he would knock Hopkins the **** out. Get real, bro.
