A lot of people are saying they think Haye cut himself to push back the Fury fight.... I thought that was ridiculous to suggest but there is one theory that no one has mentioned that I've just though of..... Next week after Klitschko v Povetkin the WBA regular belt becomes vacant so there will then be a title match for the 'vacant' belt.. isn't David Haye the number 1 WBA contender? I'm pretty sure Tyson Fury is high in the rankings as well...could Haye v Fury become for a world title belt (the WBA regular title)?? Maybe that is incentive to do the cut and push back the match? Haye v Fury becomes a WORLD TITLE fight... which would be massive... also it would be a big bargaining chip against a Klitschko.. Wasn't Booth seen in Russia meeting with WBA people and Povetkin's people? People have raised that and said it was suspicious and that they though it was because Haye wants to fight Povetkin if he beats Wlad... but does Haye/ Booth believe at all that Povetkin will win? Haye has been quoted as saying Povetkin has little to no chance....... Thoughts? :think :think
1 week prior to the alleged cut, Haye was captured in a photograph with none other than Vancouver based makeup artist Laura Moxon! so there might be some truth to it after all.
I'd get a kick out of it if Haye did cut himself but why would he. It's allegedly a £10 Million fight without a belt so I don't see the pretend WBA strap making any difference. I do blame Haye. Negligent by him.
I think Povetkin would beat Haye any day of the week. I'd be surprised if Haye cut himself to avoid Fury, though.
