    Yes, his sophomore effort. Anyone unfamiliar with Saunders, he is a massive step up in class for someone with so little pro experience. (Olympian or no)

    Astounding result on paper, really. (without knowing the full context)

    Rayco has only been stopped once before, a decado ago, having been in with countless prospects and contenders and giving lots of them problems.

    Saunders was down three times, once in the 2nd and twice in the third.

    Beterbiev is very talented.

    I would have bet on a safe ud if i had known about the match up, good win against an although aging gatekeeper still upper echelon journeyman.

    Yeah. I never thought Saunders was going to beat such a decorated amateur (who actually did OK versus Usyk despite getting eliminated) but getting stopped is the part that makes it startling...and early.

    Yeah, Beterbiev already looks to be one to watch as his career progresses. Rayco typically isn't an easy out, but this guy brought the heat and sat him down in a hurry. :bbb

    Beterbiyev is more suited to the pros then the ams because he's a big puncher.

    He was successful in the ams though, except against his nemesis Alexander Usyk.

    Alvarez is taking it directly to Miranda early. 1-2s put together by Alvarez, then deconstructed into single jabs and crosses portioned out à la carte. Miranda is unable to establish any of his usual intimidation, beating to the punch by Alvarez repeatedly and kept relatively quiet.

    Alvarez is snapping his jab out past Miranda's. Right hands by Miranda, traveling a bit too far to retain any power as they graze Alvarez leaning back with a full-body twist. Sharp right hand by Alvarez, hurting Miranda, dipping low and nearly sitting all the way down on the canvas but recovering. Right hand battle in the last minute, won by Alvarez.

    Alvarez is picking off the lead hooks of Miranda and countering with the overhand right. Body jabs by Miranda. Alvarez twitches from side to side and pops his jab out from his tight guard at Miranda. Strong lead jab by Alvarez. Miranda is pushing ahead with his goalposts up and hooking the body. HARD 1-2-3 by Alvarez, backing Miranda up. Miranda spreads his arms slightly to peer out but eats a stiff jab.

    10-9 Alvarez, clearly, but Miranda at least seemed to be in his league there.
