I can't help but feel bad for Chavez sr. He's a legendary fighter who now does interviews having to defend his pathetic son.

His facial expression in interviews after the martinez fight, and during the weight fiasco pre vera was depressing.

His son is tarnishing the name he fought so hard to build. Now when people think chavez they also think of his loser son.

He looked embarrassed at the end of the fight. He knew they was getting a UD.

Thought the same thing. The look on his face said it all.

Hell, he got the ultimate gift against Sweet Pea, which was a huge fight. This was peanuts in comparison, but yes, he should be embarrassed by it.

Jose Sulaiman - WBC President - is Junior's godfather.

Short of Jr getting sparked out his career will be full of gifts and dubious decisions from Uncle Jose.

The shame is Junior actually has talent but his professionalism and dedication is lacking.

I have'nt seen the Vera fight btw, but it is'nt heart he lacks, its passion.
He's void of it. He has other things that occupy his life that are more important to him than the gym.

He's just not dedicated to training and thats to bad.

Gotta agree but the heart for boxing, he doesn't live it like may fighters do, it seems like it is a chore to him like an obligation he doesn't look forward to it, he isn't invested in maximizing his skills to become great

    I've noticed this.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr is a legend, his son is tarnishing his name with all this unprofessionalism.

No, Sr is'nt being tarnished, his son is his own man.
Blood defend their blood, its natural, nothing wrong with that.
