    "I'm not chasing Roy Jones."

    =

He's basically saying he wants to fight Jones.

    Haha!

Are you on Bailey's Ward??

The quote is from 2003, from the London Evening Standard. :good

Hopkins wasn't considered elite at the time, but he didn't lose for another 12 years, and Roy had a fractured hand.

Toney was considered one of the best P4P fighters in the world.

He'd beaten Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, Iran Barkley and Tim Littles etc.

There's a huge differences in circumstances.

Vinny Paz had a huge pair of balls, and he got in the ring with a 26 year old version of Roy, and he tried his best to get under his skin.

It's the same with Hall and Telesco etc.

They'd all tried to bait Roy before the fight.

But Joe on the other hand, showboated against a guy who he'd dismissed as a threat on two occasions before the fight, who'd laughed that he was past his best, and who'd said that a fight would be pointless.

He showboated against a shot guy, who he'd never have fought when he was prime.

In 2003, he knew what his capabilities were, and he didn't want to risk it, unless he got the Crown Jewels. But when Roy was nearly 40, he was sticking out his chin?

    The guy's a f**king joke!

I believe prime RJJ beats anyone. But we'll never know. I am a Calzaghe fan as well.

If you're too ignorant to take it in, again, that's on you.

You were quoting Kerry Davis the other day, the same Kerry Davis who tried to get reluctant Roy the DM fight.

If you want links regarding Benn, Eubank, Don King and The Levin brothers you can have them.

You can also have links for Holyfield.

We've all seen the Lewis links.

Before Vitali, he wanted three more fights.

Afterwards, he never fought again, and said that he'd lost the motivation.

Calzaghe was past best, but Jones was "established?":patsch

Roy never climbed back on the horse Tarver knocked him off of, and that is a fact.. He was no longer established.... He was the name of a once great fighter, and that is all.

not only did i watch the fight, i have it in my collection.

i know it was scored a draw. so was Lewis vs Holyfield. it still doesn't make it true. Mercado won the fight. he also dropped Hopkins.

Bernard did win the rematch, but he lost the first fight. :deal

no, that would be you with your fantasy world when it involves Roy Jones.

you can't, and won't accept the truth, so you delude yourself to the extreme.

    Roy was no hero.

it was said at the time when Wa55en and Joe were trying to get the fight. Roy wasn't having any of it. Calzaghe just says he isn't chasing him. he either wants the fight or he doesn't.

    pretty simple.
