you could be right, and I suspect Haye is praying for Povetkin to win that fight big time

I can't help but think Povetkin v Fury would be more....karmically entertaining, with the winner there facing Charr. Maybe I just like karma.

I honestly think it's the z-list 'celebrity' status more than the money. If after his pro debut Haye had been in every supermarket magazine for women who are interested in nothing I reckon he'd have retired right there and then.

Even if Povetkin loses the WBA "regular title" becomes vacant...

Nah, he still has about 3 other RTL tv dates on his current contract for a start. There has already been whispers of a december fight should he get past Povetkin.

Why would anyone want to watch Haye vs Wlad again, if it was PPV then only a complete idiot would buy it.

I guess some people would buy it on the real chance that Haye gets knocked out.

I suspect that Wlad would like one more "super fight" before he retires. Haye would fit the bill as would Wilder.

Why would that be a superfight?

Haye's Road to a World Title consists of .... an open day and the newly-built Hayemaker Land theme park and gym, a photo shoot for the 2014 David Haye calendar, followed by 12 weeks of Strictly Come Dancing, two more dates with Alan Carr, an appearance on Graham Norton, a featurette for Sky Living with Piers Morgan, and a guest appearance as a judge on Britain's Got Talent ....

Good shout. I would say that he also needs to hit the Alan Titchmarsh show if he really wants to get that broad based appeal.

He could also aim for Celebrity Bargain Hunt at Christmas. Perhaps the Klitschkos on one team vs Adam and David on the other with Tim Wonnacot refereeing. If the K bros can't do it then Peter and Tyson Fury could step in. It would be a great build up to the February fight.

    Is that correct?
If so is there a chance the Haye Fury bout will be upgraded to a WBA title fight?
Not sure how both are ranked exactly within the WBA, especially with Haye being inactive. But then you know how quickly and highly the WBA ranked him in the past so have to wonder.

There has been talk of the winner of Chagaev vs Pudar fighting Ortiz for that.
