yeah, it was something like that.

but i hope you're not going to insist that Jones should have got the stupid money he was after? that was great money.

Roy kept on claiming he was the best, well, Joe was there to fight. he certainly wasn't asking for that kind of money. but Jones made a habit of pricing himself out of fights. Joe never once did that. :deal

Joe was more proven than vast majority of fighters Jones and Hopkins fought :lol: against who was he more proven? :rofl And old Mike McCallum is much more proven than stay at home Joe or even Virgil Hill and James Toney , You Calzaghe fans love to exxaggerate !

And you want to knock the guys that Jones got in the ring with but want to over look the mighty Mario Veits of the world or that stand out Tucker Podwill ,or how about the ever so dagerous. Byron Mitchell :lol::lol:

Yeah muderers row of fighters. Joe took on  **** out of here

Joe made these call outs on the domestic market?

how about on the second biggest boxing market in America... Showtime.

people try to **** on Joe in numerous ways with a load of crap, so they get put straight on things. if there weren't so many haters and bitter ****s, none of these Threads would be happening.

and no one claimed that Joe could beat Floyd at Welter either. so you've got that one wrong.

McCallum was so shot, that he looked like a genuine statue. that fight meant **** all.

Virgil Hill???? are you sure? give me all the names he beat that you think are better than Joe's were?

Toney is one fighter. only one. but they weren't too far off if i'm honest.

well, Hopkins got what he asked for: $3 million, and the fight had to be in America.

when this was accepted by Wa55en, Hopkins then turned around and asked for double the next day.

Joe was willing to fight Jones wherever he wanted, but negotiations never got that far. :hi:

So what was Jones supposed to do? Move down a weight division, travel to the UK and take a smaller purse so he could fight a guy that nobody knew and who had previously said that he didn't want to fight him?

Well he started out at LMW and he went up to HW at 34, after having 50 fights.

So he didn't do bad to say he was a reluctant, glass jawed fraud.

It's like Ricky Hatton saying he wasn't interested in fighting Mayweather, staying at home at 140 with his WBU belt, the fight (obviously) never happening and then his fans coming out and claiming that Mayweather should have moved down in weight, took less money than he was already getting and come to the UK.

Only that didn't happen, Ricky split from W*rren, went to Mayweathers backyard, moved into Mayweathers division, picked up a belt, became a name and called Mayweather out, low and behold - the fight happened. Calzaghe never did this while Jones was prime and it's ENTIRELY down to him and his promoter that the fight didn't happen.
