I don't know anything about boxing because i don't think Tyson Fury has a good record? Ok mate if you say so. Your probably 12 or don't have a job so i imagine you have a lot of time on your hands, go through my previous posts and show me where i hate on Tyson. I like Tyson, i don't think he has a chance against Haye but i certainly don't hate on the guy. Tyson mentions the Klitschkos fighting bums constantly, Hennessey says he is going to get Povetkin and Areolla over yet we tune in to channel 5 and watch him fight bums. Its true, Tyson has fought loads of Bums by his own admission. He also claims that he eats Cruiserweights for breakfast!! -He did struggle against a fat Mcdermott and had to rematch him -Chisora was massively out of shape when they fought -Steve Cunningham is a light punching Cruiserweight -Vinny Maddalone was a tiny guy from the Bronx who stood no chance what so ever.
Your talking about Fury like he has a really long record,hes only had 21 fights on top of that hes just 24 years old.You reckon he should have been fighting Arreola and the likes in just his 8th fight because thats when he fought McDermot.The guys he fought were suitable opponents at the TIME for Tyson,compare him to someone like Deontay Wilder who has fought absolutely NOBODY worth a **** and I would say Tyson has done quite well in his 21 fights beating some half decent names. Another thing have a look at David Hayes record and tell me who had he fought of any note up as far as 21 fights? He was beaten by Carl Thompson and took a hiding against Fragomeni,a fight he was quite lucky to win if Im honest. :-(
Fury has been matched pretty well i think. Differing styles, problems etc. he is young and had fights he could learn and develop in and from. Unlike Price
Its very easy to slag off a fighter's record and perhaps we should all learn to occasionally give someone the benefit of the doubt, I will give you an example, Deontay Wilder his record of opponents is weak yet his performances are eye catching to say the least. However, in the case of Tyson Fury some of his performance within his extremely padded record are lack lustre to say the least and if you then analysed the knock downs against weak punching opponents it is then the frailities become glaring. What is alarming is how fickle people are concerning Haye. Because of fans dislike of Haye due to the pullouts he has had they are now bizzarlly stating Fury will now beat Haye easily. Haye's & Fury's abilities regardless what we think of them have not changed and I have the absolute belief Haye will knock out Fury with ease. What surprises me more is how many people are taken in by the hype Fury is spouting. Wake up.
No, im responding to the muppet on the previous page claiming what i said was false, acting like Fury has an excellent record which he does not. At this moment in time he has done fine and his level of competition is better than Wilder and Price but they have fought journeyman. Fury has been gradually brought up through the ranks which is the way it should be done, this doesn't take away from the fact he admits they are bums. His promoter is always saying he will get the big names next yet doesn't deliver, regardless of Fury being ready for them or not he still says it. You mention Haye like im a fan of his, Haye is an arrogant *****. Just because i think he beats Fury doesn't mean i like Haye. It doesnt matter that he lost to Tompson that was then and this is now, he is a different fighter now. He made it at world level and that's a level Fury is not at right now, he may get there but right now he is not there.
I wouldnt say Furys record is padded at all, Chisora Johnson Cunningham Madalone Rogan are better then Dallas Skelton Harrison and Mcdermott
Chisora's best wins are againts Sam ***ton and Malik Scott a guy who was boxing raphael butler after twleve years as a pro. The same raphael butler that got flattened by Price inside a round, Scott went the distance with Price.
The manner of Fury's switch hitting win against Rogan was impressive. Was Belshaw undefeated when they fought? A bit if a risk at that stage of his career. I wouldn't rank them up with the Johnson, Cunningham & Chisora fights, but good ones nonetheless. The two McDermott fights were good victories as well. Sure he got a gift on one of them but it was only the state of the referees score that has entered it into the folklore of great robberies.
Tyson Fury's opposition has been okay for a pro with only 21 fights. Frank Bruno went 21-0 before getting KO'd by Bonecrusher Smith, and his opposition was possibly weaker than Fury's has been so far, in a stronger era. Scott LeDoux and Jumbo Cummings probably the best Bruno fought in those first 21, and Cummings had Bruno in more serious trouble than Fury's ever been in. Lennox Lewis's first 21 fights, before facing Donovan Ruddock, were overall a better crop of opponents than Fury's first 21 .... but probably not by the kind of margin some people would expect. He beat Gary Mason, probably the best (who was actually favoured to beat Lewis, IIRR) and after that it's not a stellar list .. a washed-up Tyrell Biggs, an ancient Mike Weaver ... McCrory, Derek Williams, a fat Ossie Ocasio ... not much else.
