How long can David Price hold the British & Commonwealth belts without a defence?

Price last defended the titles against 46 year old Matt Skelton.

That was getting on for 12 months ago.

How long can he/any fighter hold the British & Commonwealth titles without making a defence?

 

12mths, though it can be extended with good reason. Is anyone keen to challenge him?.

 

He should lose the titles if thats the case.

Also its been three months since the Thompson fight , is it not about time for him to get back in the ring and get some rounds in the bank, he needs good durable opponents , the longer its left the harder it will be

 

It wouldn't be too hard for him getting those belts back if he's being stripped.
I mean, who would be coming for those?

 

Richard Towers and Anthony Joshua,Id imagine Hearn is going to move Joshua pretty quickly,Hughie Fury may also be looking at the British title quite soon he's already had 10 fights.

Price needs to drop the titles if he's not defending them.

I think Cornish would beat Dallas , and i also think he is good enough to give fragile Price a test perhaps even beat him , it would be a good fight for the fans and either way we find out if Cornish is good enough or if Price will ever be the same again ?

Big Gary cant be that bad or he would'nt be getting asked to spar the Klitshkos ?

 

to be fair sjp17 wlad and vitali wanted to spar larry o, but i agree gary cornish is alright considering his lack of amateur experience.

Him v Price would be interesting although id back price to win

 

Maybe Cornish vs Dallas first and if he gets threw that then perhaps Price would be an option for Gary. I dont think he will ever be at the highest level but he can still have a good career and win a british belt or euro.

I just feel Price has little or no confidence he isnt convincing when he talks. He was fine when he was knocking out guys a level below but when stepped up he faltered.

He is wasting time and needs to be back in the ring quickly getting rounds in and building his confidence. But instead seems to be doing nothing at the moment , apart from calling out Fury for a (Big Pay Day) fight after he loses to Haye

 

Price seems to be getting very little support nowadays, some loyal supporters in boxing, no wonder they charge you's a lot for a ticket, you,s deserve it, ha . Price has no tony t's after his belts, outside haye and fury t, he's odds on to ko the rest.

 

He should defend it soon. He's just sorting out his new trainer. Heard rumors that he's being trained by Bob Shannon.

 

Needs to remain active if he wants to continue and help his confidence, IMO he doesn't have the heart for the big fights, no disrespect but he is one of few I've seen actually turn away fro opponent and cower like an amateur!

I hope he can comeback and do well though.
