People are overlooking Povetkin in this fight. The odds here are unbelievable. I've seen some of Povetkin's fights and the guy is extremely talented. Too many people forget that Povetkin is an Olympic Gold Medalist just like Wladimir Klitschko. The fight has all the makings of an upset.

I saw this other thread where a point was brought up- Wladimir has a jab and nothing else. That's not entirely true, but Wladimir DOES depend on that jab way too much. Ask yourselves, what if, just what IF, Povetkin is somehow actually able to avoid that jab using head movement, bobbing, and weaving, and what IF he is able to get on the inside more quickly than Wladimir Klitschko expects? Povetkin's footwork and elusiveness is underrated and Wladimir does not have an inside game that deals with a guy with the handspeed of Povetkin.

People say well Haye couldn't do anything so what could Povetkin do, but that's because Haye was trying to leap in from the outside with wild ass hayemakers that Wladimir could see comming from a billion miles away. Povetkin is gonna work his way in intelligently from underneath, and when he gets close he won't let Klitschko tie him up, he'll be bombarding his chin with power shots.

Wlad is a huge favorite in this fight but Povetkin is already 34 and knows that it is now or never! Povetkin is literally in the fight of his life, the guy seriously reminds me of Buster Douglas on the eve of the Tyson fight. He knows that the whole world is watching him and that he must win for Mother Russia. Vladimir Putin is his biggest fan and will be personally cheering him on. This fight is make or break for Povetkin, and there's something that strikes me about Povetkin that makes me think he is going to fight his heart and soul out in this one.

I just saw the weigh-in, and I saw true and unwavering confidence in Povetkin's eyes.

    WAR POVETKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup

    :good

Agreed. Realistically Povetkin is the only chap near Wlad's level right now at this moment in time. And I include old Vitali when saying that. Wlad's the favorite alright but not by the margin the bookies have it.

Well he will at least try unlike David Haye. I expect a good scrap and for the fight to be exciting. Povetkin is not going to be scared of Klitschko.

You are a fool and the "noob" will prove you wrong.

Povetkin has me sold on this one. The man has ice in his veins.

Styles make fights and I think Povetkin is a tougher match up for Klitschko than Haye ever was.

the man got his **** pushed in by a crusierweight. his fat ass could barley stand up at the end of 12 rounds with a cruiserweight.
he will get his ass kicked by wlad, just like a few years ago when he ducked like a little biatch

I agree Povetkin is very underrated, but Wladimir is an ATG heavyweight and he'll win tomorrow.

Sasha will give Wlad his most difficult fight in years, though.
