bailey and co are the same people who thought Kessler was going to batter and KO Ward - their logic being that since Kessler gave Saint Joe a competitive fight, he must be some sort of super human. It's funny listening to all the excuses they make about Kessler being past it because Ward totally schooled and embarrassed him in way Calzaghe couldn't.

Without being rude, I don't know what motivates him to type **** continually for years. He must know its ****, perhaps hes got some other agenda.

i think jones-calzaghe back then would have been big enough to move the fight to the cardiff ice rink where calzaghe fought before.

a fighter's '0' and calzaghe opponents who have won 'a belt' is the cornerstone of his argument
if it's in print, it's a 'fact' according to bailey

ask bailey to defend joe on a 'who they fought and when' basis only and he'll disappear like a fart in the wind

 

this thread is revisionist history at it's best. calzaghe was a nothing in 2002. jones would have been criticized for even taking the fight like he was with most his other opponents. even the ruiz fight caused a lot of buzz, got named ring event of the year but since jones won so easy, he got criticized for fighting ruiz.

 

if jones had a 'weakness' it was his inability to crack PPV
calzaghe was a 'nobody' internationally, but a very good fighter who had no desire to do anything except get rich, in exchange for not fighting the best available
