Chagaev is walking in and ducking forward under Pudar's jab. Chagaev hikes up his trunks and shuffles to his left, then swoons right and jabs the body. Cuffing right hook high on the head by Chagaev, and Pudar is down again on a knee by the ropes. Ruled a knockdown, count given. Up. Chagaev walks Pudar to the ropes with soft right jabs.

Round 9

Chagaev is starting to finally put combinations together with bad intentions. He wobbles Pudar and gets held. Right hooks and big looping lefts by Chagaev, keeping his punches short and high, aiming for Pudar's chin. Pudar skips away on his toes, avoiding the ropes. Chagaev is walking him down, pecking with his jab and catching Pudar's on his prison-bar guard.

I figured maybe it was lingering jealousy over Chagaev's long history of unintentionally one-upping Haye. (beat Valuev more clearly, was considered the more deserving challenger for Wlad, and during his prime was considered the better h2h heavyweight by most knowledgeable fans)

 

This is only slightly more entertaining than Chakhkiev vs. Iule, and the fact that it now looks to be exceeding it in length is narrowing the gap between them. :-((

 

Round 10

Chagaev is ducking and curling with his chin tucked to get beneath Pudar's jab and then hooking at the body or pushing his right jab up into Pudar's face. Pudar grabs and then slaps at the back of Chagaev's head in the clinch.

Fairly uneventful round, so - you guessed it, BN gave it to Pudar. :nut

Round 11

Chagaev is bringing his arms up and down in front of his face, then casually sidestepping to his left and looking to jab in from the side. Pudar meets him head-on and gets his own left jab pumping into Chagaev's guard. Nobody is landing. Triple jab into the guard by Pudar. Chagaev takes a crab step and sneaks a straight left in between Pudar's arms while he is jabbing. Chagaev is firing straight lefts to the body leaning forward, moving his head in rhythm with Pudar's jab. Both look very slow and sluggish, even more than in rounds 1-10.
