Perfect, pushed Masternak with constant jab to the ropes and unloaded combination(Masternak looked awful on the ropes during this fight). Stoppage is ok, Mast was done

I thought the stoppage looked a little quick but after the replay you can see Mateusz had no legs at all, buckled a few times and were pure spaggetti at the end. fine with the stoppage. Terrific performance from Drozd and brave from Mateusz.

  6. Since so many Poles moved to the UK, they brough glass-jawism to Poland.

    :?

...because he got stopped by Arslan in a war of attrition? Have you seen that one?

    1) They fought in a phonebooth at breakneck pace all night.

    2) Firat was a beast that night.

    3) It was stopped while Drozd was still on his feet and hadn't been dropped, although he was getting overwhelmed. It was arguably more premature than Drozd's stoppage of Masternak just now.

    4) Drozd was still a somewhat green prospect stepping up in class to a contender and ten-year veteran of the pros.

    5) Drozd fought stupidly, making the rookie mistake of trying a show of bravado and matching Arslan's high output nonstop brawling style, basically playing to his opponent's strengths instead of his own.

I don't hold that loss against him and he is flawless since then despite several frustrating periods of inactivity.

Yeah, definitely on the quick side, but you are right, there have been worse.

I have seen this fight. I agree that Firat looked like a beast, Drozd was green and maybe it was also stylistically a bad matchup for Grigory, after this fight i got a feeling that Grigory is pretty vulnerable. But today he surprised me.

    Arslan vs. Drozd, from 2006:

His chin is fine. Stamina used to be an issue but he seems to have fixed it.
