    what was the ref doing?

wlad shouldnt have been able to jump on Povetkin's back like that everytime povetkin got close. he did it every time. its illegal why didnt the ref do anything?

Not DQ, but he should have been deducted a point earlier.

Povetkin initiated most the clinches, objectively speaking... he dove in like he did with huck, yet wlad gets criticized

Warned about the leaning in round 4.

Not disqualified, its the referees fault for not dealing with it atall.

I think Wlad should've been deducted a point. Then he would have changed his style. Let's not take this too far. Povetkin got his ass kicked.

Povetkin didn't complain once, he went in for a breather most times.

Fight was an absolute disgrace. Luis Pabon should never be allowed to referee a championship fight again. Might as well not have a referee at all. Vladimir Klitschko is only champion because he is a great wrestler who can also punch. He is allowed to grab incessantly, push guys' heads down, hold and hit, and push. Hence, he is never forced to fight on the inside. With his height, reach, speed, and power, he can just pick guys apart with one or two outside punches, then grab and push the head down, or lean in and tie up the arms. Repeat over and over. I would love to train a guy to fight him. I'd bring in several Olympic wrestlers as training partners.
