I'm assuming that by skilled you mean in actually appearing skilled, like using effective movement, angles, speed, combination punching, etc.

Being 6'6 doesn't stop you from utilizing all of that. Some of those things just happen to not be Wlad's style. His brother, who is even taller than him, is better in this regard.

Oh so because I don't appreciate the fine art of, clinching, wrestling, the odd elbow and leaning for 90% of the fight, I'm not a true boxing fan?

Agree! The Double standard is obvious, but these types of forums are not exactly known for the lack of hypocrisy.

I'm a Klitschko fan, and I didn't like it. I've only seen excessive clinching in Wlad's past two fights, never too much before. He hardly clinched against Wach.

What I like even less though, is how the same people like Max Kellerman who constantly PRAISE Ward and Hopkins, BASH Wlad for it.

I hate DOUBLE STANDARDS like that.

They're nothing alike, but they both dominate everyone and make it look easy so I see the similarity there. Besides that, **** off.

That's right. It would be disrespectful to compare Klitschko with some thug.

I agree, I've had no problem with vlad previously but he just really spoiled the fight this time.

Now people are saying it's hypocritical to say vlad is boring and Floyd is not but if we look at their last fights, Floyd boxed masterfully to beat canelo, he used skill. He wasn't spoiling the way Vlad did tonight, there was no comparison.

Me too. It is kind of funny to see people who ragged on Wlad for being soft or not a real fighter now ragging on him for being too dirty and too much of a bully.

One is American, the other one is not. You think anyone Stateside would give a **** about Mayweather if he was born in and boxed out of Belarus? No American would even know him, no matter how skilled he is.

LMAO so true. Heck even Max Kellerman - although hating Wlad's performance - was admitting Wlad has some a new trick when holding and hitting Povetkin. "This is something new, something we haven't seen before with him"

There are two sides of that coin. At the moment Floyd is known all over the world because of his excellent boxing skills, and has the nod of both professional fighter, trainer world wide as one of the best skilled fighters in the world.

Based on that, I think floyd popularity would transcend no matter what country he lives in.

If both kilts were black, the criticism would be even worse. The problem I see with the both Klits is there choice of defense. The offense is excellent but the defense is just got dame awful and sometime the offense can be too long in developing.

When watching a Floyd you can appreciate his ability to stand right in front of his opponent and make them mis but with the Klit you're left with the hope that ether will KO his opponent in between the dry humping.
I mean really, no foot work, no head movement making fighter mis, no parries, no slipping punches, no counters, "just hug and punch".

With as much power as wald possesses in both hands, it is a little disappointing to watch him hug his way to a decision. Wald just has a very very dry style.

Vitali has a completely different style to Wlad, he is not a Steward trained hw fighter. They are not the same guy.
