Yeah, it was WAY too soon. At the very least he should have let him get up!

Too many refs today are way too quick to pull the trigger. Refs in the old days were better - they let fights go to their natural conclusion.

Didn't Max say Rodriguez was still unsteady a good while after the stoppage occurred?

Ydksab... what was Rodriguez gonna do? He was running scared from that vicious body work, he was done.

Cotto was going to damage that kid eventually.

Thank God he stopped the fight. Delvin had nothing to continue since the end of the 2nd round.

He would've gotten hurt if the fight continued. Glad to see Cotto was looking like the Cotto of old. That left hook disappeared for awhile. It needed to come back as it did tonight.

At least. Fights need to go to their NATURAL conclusion, not be stopped prematurely by refs.

Today's refs are too squeamish. In most instance, it should be the fighters who determine how a fight ends.

He was dazed going back to his corner after the second. He had no answers for Cotto.

He couldnt do anything offensively b/c Cotto had the high guard working and came in with viscious body shots or jabs.

This was a Cotto that NOBODY at 154lbs could beat.

It may have gone another 30 seconds, but had RAodriguez continued he may have left on a stretcher. :-(

Rodriguez's chin has always been suspect. But it hadn't been completely shattered - therefore, the ref should have let the fight go to its natural conclusion.

You sure are doing a lot of complaining when Delvin welcomed the stoppage!!!
