This will be the toughest fight of Floyd. On their 1st fight, it should be a 115-113 for Floyd as my scorecard, i dunno what the mind of the judges they scored lopsided!!

Wouldn't mind seeing the rematch but Cotto needs 1 more solid win before that can happen.

i don't think floyd want this rematch, he got bloodied up the last time.

floyd should just go ahead and fight khan or garcia or something.

Cotto won 3 rounds off Mayweather.

No need for a rematch. Fresh opposition like Garcia means more to the resume at this point even factoring in weight (since Mayweather fighting the top guy at JMW twice in 18 months isn't impressive enough to some).

Honestly, I just re-watched the fight today and Cotto won 4 or 5 rounds (more likely 4). I had to turn the sound off after round 2 because it was surreal how much the announcers were cheerleading floyd. With the sound off, Cotto did very well. Landed lots of body shots, compared to floyds opponents usually, and made floyd hit gloves a lot. Still a Floyd win, but a closer fight than people realise.

Cotto fought very well and as you said landed much more successfully to Floyds body than most usually do. Giving Cotto 4-5 rounds is reasonable as Miguel pushed the action in most of the rounds only to have Floyd land some sweeping right hand leads late which dazzled a lot of people but made people forget the previous 2.30 where Cotto did a lot of good work.

Floyd fought very well too and a rematch wouldn't be the worst fight out there because win, lose or draw against Cotto you have to earn a win the hard way.

    Canelo vs Cotto

    or

    Cotto vs Trout 2

If Cotto wins either of those, I would love another fight with Mayweather.

Oh dear, Cotto returns and beats a tune-up quality fighter and now we have simple minded queers voting him to beat all.

Cinco day...why not Black history weekend? Cinco day is for the PPV King Canelo who did 2.2mills on his first PPV fight.

He's unshot and rejuvenated again, just perfect for Floyd.

    Mayweather during all access:

"Cotto? To me he is still an undefeated fighter aside from the defeat he took on my hands. He wasn't motivated with Trout and you could tell in how he demolished a fighter that went 12 rounds with Trout last year. Pacquaio didn't beat him because he was drained, Margarito had the wraps. Hard word, Dedication. Let's do it again, I want to prove that I had an off night that night versus Miguel. He had me thinking about retirement, well on Cinco de Mayweather.... it will be Cotto thinking about retirement"

PS: I will say this... Cotto did have an impressive night... and I prefer Cotto vs. Mayweather than to pay 70 plus dollars in HD to see Khan or Garcia versus Mayweather... that would be very crappy..

Same here.... but you know how boxing is...

They can always make Canelo vs. Cotto and it would sell even if Cotto lost to Mayweather.... but if Cotto losses to Canelo that is one opponent Al Haymon will loose for Mayweather...
