Spot on ! The Frazier of '74 and '75 plus the Foreman of '74 would have beaten any of Lennox's best opponents.

MERCER RUDDOCK AND YES OUR FRANK ..were better than Lyle Shavers and Aussie Joe.
Come to think of it..Morrison Golota and Mason wouldnt be far off besting that three.

Yeah, I'm, sure your opinion would have been exactly the same had Ali won after Frazier had been in exile for three years. :yep

They're comparable for sure- all three wee better than Bugner. Although I think a champ like Ali, aged 35, would rather have taken on a Mercer than a Shavers Ray could be easily outboxed and wasn't much of a mover- and even an old Ali likely would have beat him handily- just like Larry did. The Lewis fight still surprises me, how well Ray did that night- Lewis should have schooled him but in the end it was a close contest. Ruddock/Lyle similar in that both were dangerous, big and strong and could hit.

Yes indeed, Frazier prevailed in the Big One.

To the relentless consternation of the Ali cabana boys. :yep

Max...how old are you? 16? The Foreman you may have saw fight holy, Briggs and Morrison was 150 years old. Light years removed from young Georg perhaps the most destructive hwt ever to live. Prime Frazier circa 1968-1971 would be a tough fight for any hwt. He was fast, determined and hit like a hammer with his hook. Unlike today's hwts he was trained to fight 15 rounds at a high work rate.

Max....you are young and don't know the subject matter. This is obvious from your comments.

Foreman vs Ali was a disgrace to the sport. Not the first, not the last.
However, Ali's entire career, legacy, myth and Aura are built around nothing but disgraces to the sport and criminal actions by Angelo Mirena and Don King, assisted by others usually.

Why do you say Ken Norton and Joe Frazier had a glass jaws and low skills but imply that Ron Lyle was better ?

One stiff punch from Muhammad Ali turned Lyle into a jelly-eyed wreck.

Maybe Foreman just wasn't as good for the Lyle fight.

Frazier had no punching power? One of boxings all time hardest left hooks and that's common knowledge for anyone who knows the sport. Norton also was a excellent puncher as was Ron Lyle, Shavers, Liston and Foreman. Liston, Shavers and Foreman may rate one, two and three as all time hardest puncher.

No need to continue the discussion. Come back in 20 years when you know your stuff.

It's almost as comparable a disgrace to your usual relentless and consistent butchery of the English language.

But your post actually looks presentable and coherent this time, which one can only put down to the excellent work of the remedial tutor that your parents hired.

What must be remembered, and with no disrespect to Lyle,is that this was Foreman's first fight back after being destroyed by Muhammad Ali over a year earlier. I can well imagine Ron going the same way as Frazier and Norton, had he fought George before Ali beat him.

I can only assume that you misread my post. I was n't comparing Lennox Lewis and George Foreman in a head to head scenario. I was stating that Joe Frazier and Foreman were better than any of Lewis' opponents.
