It was more than hugging. Wlad was climbing up on Povetkin and visibly trying to balance as much weight on him as he possible could. It was completely blatant. It was so cynical it was like watching a football team commit a professional foul every time the opposition get near the goal. Based on that performance Wlad is far from a gentleman. I'll be happy to see the back of the Klitschko's with their formica personalities. Personally I am more interested in what the Russians thought of it.
How is this unprofessional? Isn't it much more unprofessional to lie to the viewing public by hyping a fight that is clearly boring as hell? If anything, I'd say this is more professional of Max, at least he has the decency to treat the audience with the respect they deserve then to try and gloss over the facts as they are unfolding in the ring.
That wasn't boxing, that was wrestling. If you could be objective you'd be able to admit that as well. Terrible performance by Wlad, just a pitiful display of what was suppose to be a world hw championship boxing match, and he should be ashamed.

Any objective observer should agree with this. I'm a Wlad fan, but he was not impressive in any way, shape or form vs. Povetkin.
the majority of the clinches were on wlad, but if I remember correctly lamply asked if control of the fight would sway in povetkins favor if the clinching ceased. I believe Kellerman hinted something to the effect that if wlad stopped laying up on him and just fought he`d likely win regardless if not by stoppage
Wlad is as marketable to HBO as Ivan Drago after Apollo Creed. He is marketable in the context of "next american hope" and it has been shown that it can be done successfully (Vitali in Klitschko-Arrela). They will carry some of his fights because no reputable boxing channel can go without airing at least some HW championships but they need Rocky type to really go out of their way and promote big event.
Seriously? You don't get my point or are you purposefully missing it...? I watched the fight and like most people found it utterly boring to practically unwatchable. Now, maybe that's your thing, I'm not here to judge. What I was saying was: Max vocalizing that the fight was yawn-inducing was in fact professional. He wasn't saying the fight had been decided (although, he might have inferred it). He's a commentator and is expected to call the fight like he sees it. He, like most, saw the fight as a cure for insomnia. It was an ugly affair. No one is saying that Wlad hadn't "kicked arse". I for one applaud MK for voicing an opinion consistent with most of the viewing public and not trying to sugar coat a tedious and obvious situation. So, another masterful performance by Wlad, and most people collectively shrug their shoulders and give less then a s**t - or worse, are turned off to boxing because "this is for the HW championship of the world...?" - while his fans crow about ATG status: "top 15!" "no! top 5!" "NO!!!! #1!!!!!!!!! ATG!!!! OF ANY WEIGHT CLASS THE MOST DOMINANT" and so forth.
