I like both brothers, and up until this match I had enjoyed watching them both box - but this was a completely different fight from the Haye one.

The way Wlad lunged in to clinch and hug and push down on Povetkin after EVERY SINGLE PUNCH . . . was infuriating. He could have easily kept him at bay with other means and even tried for a knockout but he didn't.

wlad has been feeding his hardcore fans with greco-roman crap for so long and they have been all good with that.
so in a direct way you wlad fans are responsible for this garbage of fight we witnessed some days ago..

time for those of wlad fans who also are fans of boxing to stand up and send klinchko the hugger a message. that you wont tolerate his octopussing to a W anymore.
maybe he will listen who knows.

    :yep

Wlad has pretty much won every round he ever fought, when he boxes he does not get hit, Saturday to me he took an easy route after the 7th, does that mean abandon him:lol: NO...

He had a guy who kept coming right at his waste, wlad should of back up an jabed let him come as he did to other fighters. I have no problem with his tactical holding a lot of that is baited by his oppents to get points deducted or to get lucky punch in....

but yea he was taking one big punch an hold approach after the 7th that had me upset, that not bad out of 64 fights, to have one fight you take off a few rounds more then I am use to, I guess I was spoiled, I am used to a beat down of the guy he fighting, I thought I got robbed of pictures of Alex in the hospital on sunday,,,,, I am sure he will pummel the next guy:good

I never was a fan, but when Wladimir was based in Germany i kind of liked his style. These days though he´s simply unwatchable, since he´s destroing any kind of fight with his illegal tactics of holding and leaning onto his opponents. It´s a shame, cause he has some skills. He´s simply not using them, since he is scared to lose again.

Since when is Fury glass chined? Can you link me a fight where he gets his glass jaw shattered?
Wlad is proven to have a weak chin. If any chin goes , its his.

No he couldn't. And he has proved it in the past. Without fouling , he's nothing. No boxing skill at all.

I can only conclude that Wlad must have been really really ill.. I heard he had a flu...maybe he went on with the fight and didnt want to jeopardize the event you never knew...And I knew for sure that wlad was seriously ill in the Brewster fight he was gassing after the first round

Haha - what a truly unpredictable surprise - another excuse from K2 and the fanboys.

Wlad stinks out the joint with an atrocious foul fest and is universally panned (except by his Beleiber like fans) and all of a sudden he was sick and couldn't fight properly.

It would be funny were it not so embarrassing. Time to update the klitschk excusepedia me thinks.

Haye landed his best shot on Wladimir and Wlad won.

    So the hate goes on.

When all's said and done and the week end's over, however dominant was the victory, Wladimir prevented what was supposed to be a good fight to happen. Flu or not, almost half of the clinches weren't even necessary. Now i hope he'll aknowledge the critics and put on a slightly more pleasing show next time.

Jisi, if you are happy tuning in to watch a fighter who relies on entirely illegal tactics to win his fights then that's your call. It matters not one bit to me - you're not a boxing fan with a respectable or informed opinion of the sport. You're a fan of one fighter. I, like most people, just feel that the champion of the flagship division is doing the sport we love a disservice by cheating his way through one of the biggest fights in years.

That fight did more harm than good to the sport. That's what I card about.

Your idol got another W on his record. That's all you care about.

We've different motivations and, although you might not get this, it's actually reassuring to see you don't agree with me. If you did I'd seriously have to reconsider my position.

You were pretty excited on here when Tyson Fury had to use the same tactics to tire out and beat Cruiserweight Steve Cunningham.

Povetkin's face was a mess. Cunningham looked like he could have gone to the Prom after his fight where Fury clinched, held, forearmed, pushed, etc.

    Double standard? :lol::lol:

Wlad has been avoiding punchers for a while now. He's a bum, and every time Pov wanted to test that chin, Wlad went MMA style on Pov. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for that fight.
