In 2002 Jones was fighting Glen freakin' Kelly and Clinton Woods :rofl

He wasn't interested in taking big fights. His next fight was handpicked Ruiz then he scampered back to Light Heavyweight to get his Glass Jaw Shattered repeatedly then went back to fighting civil servants like Badi Ajamu and Hanshaw. Then since he was soooooo weight drained from Heavyweight he went down even further to 170 to fight Trinidad :rofl

How is that possible? Losing the weight from Heavyweight 'killed' him. :patsch

Show me this. I bet you disappear like a fart in gthe wind . You make these comments and when asked to answer them go silent
    Why are you mocking that?
    DM was champ
I cant remember the exact words so wouldnt try and go overboard. I cant remember which boxing mag. Think it was the Ring but it could have been digest, cant remember which mag, but it was DM calling out Jones. I recall Kessler in one suggesting to Lacy about them meeting

Can you believe Roy Jones Jr was rated #3 at HW and #1 at LHW at the same time???:yikes

Crazy feat for a glass jawed joke that started his career at 154lbs.:patsch

He also held the "trinket" LHW Ring Championship belt and the WBA HW Championship at the same time!!:deal

Just some FACTS for you to grasp before you come back with your OPINON on Roy Jones' chin and competition...

    Rico Spadafora,

There's no point in you, Bailey and Assassin arguing with me, because you're not going to win.

Again, it's not just my opinion.

Roy's sole intention, was to get back into the ring ASAP. If Roy was really up for trying to take Johnson's belt, then why didn't he commit himself to training? Why wasn't he motivated? Why did he have such a hard time making the weight?

He was just going through the motions.

Roy was like a zombie in there.

Nobody is telling me that Glen Johnson could have beaten Roy, if Roy had fought to his full capabilities.

I'm certain that Roy would have made easy work of him pre Ruiz.

    Which fight was that then?

You're telling me that you couldn't see the difference in his circumstances?

He had to take mandatories earlier in his career to keep hold of his belts.

But by the time he'd got to HW, he was 34. He was never going to stay there for a long period. He'd already had 50 fights.

Why would he have fought guys like Sanders and Vitali?

He wanted huge money against the likes of Tyson.

This is your only so called evidence. Because the fights never happened, you think it proves that Roy wasn't really interested. You also refuse to believe any of the links posted, through sheer ignorance.

Let's look at the proposed Tyson fight.

Roy met with Tyson late in 2003, and they were both up for the fight, and both agreed that the best time to fight would be the following year. That was because Tyson was out of shape, and he had a hell of a lot going on in his life at that point, that included a huge lawsuit against Don King.

Then the following year, Roy got knocked out twice, and Tyson lost to Danny Williams. Those losses killed the fight from ever happening.

It wasn't anyone's fault, it was just circumstances.

Why do you keep posting these links?

So what if Roy considered Joe for a short period?

In the end, he wasn't interested.

He wasn't interested in taking big fights?

So fighting the WBA HW champ, at 34, after 50 fights, wasn't a big fight?

Fighting Tarver to reclaim the LHW belts wasn't a big fight?

He fought Trinidad in Jan 2008. He lost the weight for Tarver late in 2003.

That was a difference of nearly four years. :patsch

    Keep hating! :good

So what if he called him out in a magazine?

He said he was willing to fight Roy in America, but his promoter wouldn't take HBO's calls, they turned the proposal of the double header down flat, and then he went on to fight B and C class opposition, before losing to Gonzalez.
