Did Wlad's win help or hurt his legacy?

Did no favours to his 'legacy' ,grab grab jab jab, should have finished him off,he knows his chin is glass and protected it the whole fight, boring. Ref was terrible too, he threw pov over a few times and ref gave the count, mmmm.

Wlad has found a style that works for him. He has a scintillating jab and a ferocious short left hook (the two are sometimes hard to distinguish). IMO, he has the best jab in the history of the sport, but I wouldn't argue too much if someone accorded that honour to Liston or Holmes.

It was those punches that messed Povetkin up, not the clinching.

It was up to Alexander to find a way inside, other than diving in with head down and throwing wild overhands.

I found the clinching excessive, but in the absence of warnings from the referee, and given that it was defensively effective for Wlad, why wouldn't he continue to use it ?

To those who bang on about a DQ being appropriate after rd 4, don't you think Wlad would have moderated his game had he been warned and/or deducted a point early ? And how do you see that altering the outcome ?

As far as I know, Pov made no excuses or complaints regarding the tactics employed.

Any time a champion defeats the second best active HW by what's probably the widest margin in HW championship history, scoring four KDs over a previously unbeaten and un-floored contender, it helps his legacy.
