He is from a nothing country, with a tiny population and has been utterly outclassed in his last two fights. What do you want Eddie to do?

Crawford isn't a big name or a big money fighter. I hope Burns is being paid well because this is a terrible fight for him.

What has his country got to do with anything? I want Eddie to finally fulfill his promise of a unification bout against Vazquez or Abril. He promised a unification bout after Gonzalez and then matched him up with Beltran. Ricky seems to have a great following despite the fact that he literally goes under the radar until fight week. With Sky behind him, and with the right promotion, he could possibly attract a large audience [15-20k] for a unification fight, as well as getting good viewing figures.

Burns would get badly outclassed and with Crawford not being a big name yet, wouldn't get a particularly big pay day either. Plus after the Beltran robbery fighters aren't going want come to UK to fight Burns. Vazquez would school burns pretty easily and after Burns last two outings I would fancy Abril to do a number on him, a fight I previously though only had a slight edge towards Abril. I think Burns WBO run is coming to end one way or another.

Absolutely everything? His marketability is limited.

You want a unification fight? He was outclassed by a mandatory and a gatekeeper in his last two fights. Eddie did he a favour, we know now he needs to be matched very, very well to keep his belt.

Don't know why Bob Arum has said that if it isn't true .Burns is just off the Scottish news about his jaw saying they want a Beltran rematch first as well . Article on the scene as well .

Beltran clearly won the fight, but Burns performance cannot be judged because he had a broken bloody jaw most of the fight

I dont see why Burns would not go to MSG to fight crawford if it doesnt go to purse bids surely he will be getting well paid and if he loses he comes back a even Scott Harrison its not as if after a loss he has no where to go
