lmfao at the bull**** names you are pulling out...reason jmm is good/fame is because of style...your man can take a beating and come back and still ko the opponent. Comparing resumes, pac's resume is better then Jmm.

Barrera, Diaz, and Katsidis was his bigger names that he fought and beat in dominate fashison until he faced mayweather... FMJ he lost to and looked sloppy as hell...after, nothing esle happened until the punch that was heard around the world in dec of 2012. Bull**** aside, you take pac out of jmm's life period, JMM would not be where he is at now...his stardom and fame wise.. or how high he would be ranked on the p4p...although i would still rank him within the top 10. not taking nothing away from JMM, he is great but talking about holy grail's question, JMM would be second tier without pac.

JMM lost to Chris John, Mayweather, etc so why are you even bring up their names? That proves nothing. After Marquez lost to Chris John, he didn't want anymore of that.

Marquez without Pacquiao would not be at the level he is today. He would still be known as a good Mexican fighter but not at the fame level or p4p list he is now.

 

My point is youre saying JMM is a nobody w/out Pac, when in fact he fought 7 sure fire hof's from 2000-2010, yes Pac was one of them, Pac fight, wait for it. 7 hof's during that same period and JMM was one of them. Yes JMM lost to 2 of them, hey sometimes you lose (unless ur name is Mayweather, lol) but in no way shape or form is JMM a nobody w/out Pac. If thats true, then the same can be said of Pac w/out JMM. The only fighter to fight more hof's during that period. drumroll, Mayweather. hmmm

I never said JMM was a nobody. He's a good fighter and a Mexican warrior but his rise in fame and the reputation claim to the level he is at now (including p4p level) was greatly impacted by his wars with Pacquiao. Not sure how anyone can deny this. If you take out JMM on Pacquiao's resume, Pacquiao wouldn't be affected much, if any. I'm done with this discussion now since you're a ***** and don't want to waste my time pointing out truths against a wall.

And you did say JMM claim to fame was Pac when in fact he has great wins outside of Pacquiao that would have made him a hof fighter and one of mexicos best. yes Pac added to that, but the same can be said for lots. ie. Gatti/Ward, Barrera /Morales.

Ring magazine made PAc fighter of the decade 2000-2010, but he was no more impressive during that span than Mayweather/JMM.

Marquez' offense is better than Pac;s. good body shots, better combinations, better feints, better everything really

 

I like Pac but I would say he is the most dynamic offensive fighter since RJJ

LOL! You just started watching boxing last year, admit it. Pac has beat Barrera x2, Morales x2, JMM x2, Cotto, Hatton, Hoya, and a bunch of other big names. Pac won the fighter of the decade award. Not Abner Mares haha. What a fraud of a boxing fan you are.

 

And yes I agree with the thread starter's "friend". Of course Pac is the best offensively. I dont know if Floyd is truly the best defensively. Usually he would be, but this era has seen Rigo. That's a tough call, and not one I would make myself.
