Hatton is a Glass Jawed hype job with a trainwreck of a personal life. He needs to be in a facility it sounds like.

That's right, he was nothing, his career was carefully planned from his promoter frank ****** who is renowned for putting his fighters on a steady diet of being fed bums to boost up their records so by the time they got 20-30 fights, they're 30-0 and then it tricks the casual s into thinking they have someone special on their hands.

its the same god damn thing with what happened to that cleverly joker, only he tasted defeat earlier because he actually was fed up of being on a diet of bums and being discredited. So when he stepped up he wasn't ready.

When hatton stepped up late in his career he found he was so out of his depth he almost died in the ring.

He thought he could take drugs and balloon up in weight between fights and get away with it fighting the elite. he could get away with it fighting bums in the uk, but when you go to the states, you go there to fight proper fighters who look their bodies and seen all the come forward one dimensional bs before.

Of course I'm not your pal I was simply patronising you. Me buy a Ricky Hatton book! I wasn't that big a fan he was a good fighter but never an elite or great one.
You really need to take Ricky's picture off your dart board and move on.

Well i'm flabbergasted. One doesn't achieve the success that young Ricky achieved by accident. He made mistakes and will continue to do so, god-willing. He lost to two of the greatest fighters of his generation at the peak of one of the most inspirational escalations of popularity the sport has seen. Of course it was a massive comedown to drop into, his subsequent mental health issues aren't fit for a gentleman to laugh at, surely?

If I were to have chosen boxing to be my career choice (lol) and achieved 1% of Mr Hattons' success, i'd have been a happy chappy. He rose to the very top, stepped in against the elite and did it all with a smile coupled with an endearing self-deprecating humour. One wonders how far in the boxing world those spitting feathers at Hatton's career actually got. Not long past his first professional victory, one suspects.

No one is laughing at his mental issue, but the thing is he aint no victim, he eats, drinks and takes drugs in excess because thats what ricky wants to do.

It ain't no illness that we need to understand, being a selfish and heartless isn't a disease, it's a choice.

You want to paint him as some victim, but he's the one who made the choice to keep cheating on the mother his kids, he's the one who decided to keep going back in the toilets to snort lines in all the bars across his town and in the states. Hes the one who beat the living shiit out of his own father because his father was trying to talk some sense into him into stopping the drugs.

Oh but yeah you keep singing ''theres only one ricky hatton'' when the fact is there are millions of ricky hattons. They're all on street corners drinking and eating out of a bin and smoking out of dirty pipes. Or they're in drug clinics or in prison because they weren't fortunate enough to be born and blesssed with the semblance of talent to get in the boxing ring and earn millions.

Thats the only difference between him and all those millions of other bums, the money
