Marcus Oliveira vs. Juergen Braehmer will be for the regular title.

We can only hope that Oliveira/Braehmer will then unify the regular and super with Shumenov/Kovacs to cinch it up neatly, but of course that is probably wishful thinking.

I stopped worrying about this guy a long time ago. Everything about his career is odd.

My bad Ice, just noticed it now. Question: I mean Hopkins I believe did it and now Wlad. They have/had all the belts; WBA, IBF, WBC, and the WBO. Then they beat the regular WBA champ and they quickly get two top guys to fight for the regular WBA. They will quickly protect someone like Shumenov from the real champ and fight easy fights. Like Chagaev vs Ortiz. Just say Ortiz wins, who the hell is Ortiz? I never heard of him. So in reality, you can't unify all the belts? It is a shame what boxing has become, but we still get some decent to good fights here and there with Marquez and Bradley to take place this Saturday.

No, no the guy's got balls of steel. He's taking on some unbeaten monster next month according to Boxrec.

    Just a minute...

That's it - well known title hunter Tamas 'no blueprint' Kovacs.

Then he's gonna f#kk off and polish his belt for another year or two I imagine.

The guy's a damn disgrace, you have to wonder just who he's paying off. I think he's planning the longest title reign in history by dint of never, ever, fighting.

The only good thing that comes out of this is that at least it frees up the reg. belt again, cos otherwise I think he woulda sat on it forever. Rumour is he's wealthy outside of boxing (Kazakh mineral / PetroChem $s I think) and that he's basically just paying for the belt (though the guy can actually box, which just makes it worse).
