That fight would have never happened in the timeframe of interest.
Joe's manager, F.W. would never have allowed the fight to happen. Why would he face Jones with great probability of facing defeat when he could earn just as much money facing bums before drunken English fans who know as little about boxing as your average WWE fan.

Jones TKO 8 (Stoppage on cuts)

I havent read all of this post, but Sobot was Calzaghes first defence and a sub for undefeated Salmaci who was due to fight Calzaghe, so not sure where you get 10 years when he had just beaten Eubank.
Please remember that Pudwill was a sub also for Tate

And? That was at MW not SMW??? Point is he was on the Calzaghe list and Calzaghe was due to fight him, but I believe Tate decided to retire just before the fight which is where late sub Pudwill came in.
Calzaghe had dominated Lacy before Jones fought him
How do you put Tarver who was losing to Harding above Eubank or Kessler .
I was a fan of Hill and rate him highly but he was beaten by a former WW champ. He made alot of defences and his win over Maske was a good win, but I think Kessler is up there with him (possibly overall better with the amount of champs he has beaten) and Eubanks resume is far greater

Jones and his daddy knew about his Glass Jaw from the start. It is hilarious how his fan boys try to explain and justify all the shrewd maneuvering he did to avoid fights.

That Chin is one of the worst I have seen. Total glass.
