Two fighters who were undefeated..and considered the best Welters in the sport at the time

I predict a close fought UD win for FMJ

    Who would you pick?

    NOTE:this is pre-Margarito fight Cotto

Floyd UD. If his father was training him back then it would have been a WIDE UD. However, with his Uncle training him it he might have taken some punishment.

Floyd will never WIDE UD Cotto.

I think the result would be the same as it was last year. Im in a minority, but I actually think they are both better now in 2013 than they were in 2008. They're both more skilful now (Cotto in footwork; Floyd in upper body movement) than in their past versions, and have retained their speed, stamina, and will to win.

    The scorecards for their fight in 2012 were 118 - 111, 117 -112, 117 - 112. I would say thats a pretty wide UD.

Cotto never had a chance to beat Floyd. NEVER.

So that means a wide UD win for Floyd then.

I predict that Miguel would live to far to fight for Floyd. And if Miguel was able to come here to fight in Vegas Floyd would retire and take a vacation.

    Oh I was right.

    We will never know.

But considering old shot to **** 154lb cotto made May into a pizza face and lost a close decision.
Prime 147lb cotto would push Floyd's **** in..

Hence the fight never got made.

Haven't got the urge..give me baldamir

What so a bloody nose now results in May being pizza faced?

    Floyd UD

Also, "give me Baldomir".... Baldomir was a unification fight and he was also the lineal champ after beating Judah.

Tough, close fight. Could go either way...

would have been a 'legendary nights' type fight had they faced off in their primes.

Ive got it 60/40 in favor of Mayweather, by UD, around 7 rounds to 5 range.

A draw or close Cotto SD wouldn't shock me.

what a boxing match it would have been.

Mayweather would win in any year or division, he is just more skilled than Cotto
