If you read the article, Boente finds the entire idea laughable.

"Klitschko would of course have to earn more, and who wants to pay that?"

So, if Lewis gets $100m minimum, what does Wlad/Vitali get? $200m?

I'll tell you what I told Reford, it ain't gonna happen

Bönte is a future HOF promoter and of course spot on. Lewis is just seeking cheap publicity with his rubbish claims.

Lewis has already made a statement on twitter saying he has no plans to return. He doesn't need the money and his legacy is secure. Why anyone would regard the Daily mail as a reliable source is beyond me.

As for Boente saying Wlad should get the bigger purse in any hypothetical match up is ridiculous. He only thought Wlad/Povetkin was worth 7 million, Lewis would be the draw in any hypothetical match up, he earned 10 mill for his first defence against Tucker, 34 mill for his super fight with Tyson, sums that Wlad would never earn for routine defences or a super fight.

Bönte will have promoted over 20 HW title fights by the time he retires. How many promoters in history can say the same? Sorry, but his HOF induction is a lock already.
