After the Beltran robbery the other champs are not going want to go to him, unless Hearn is willing to break the bank.

The injury was a result of a punch. I give Burns credit for continuing, but it's not something that can be used as a factor in defending his performance as his jaw was broken as a result of Beltran being able to hit him flush.

What you need to take into account is that boxing is a business and the money for burns fights is in Scotland where he is a real ticket seller

From the fight I am in no way convinced that Beltran is the better fighter,

He was the better fighter on the night but for me Ricky is the better fighter.

Time will tell and I really hope the re-match happens.

If it did as a nice mental ploy (if I was Burns' team) I would allow Beltran to walk in second. Attack the fight with the challengers attitude.

Fair enough........I just prefer to judge him on his other performances......his limitations were clear to see in previous fights.......many fighters get caught in fights but doesn't always result in a Kd, Ko or broken jaw.....getting his jaw broke completely changed the way he fought the remainder of the fight so there is no point analysing or judging him too much on that fight IMO

I'm not saying he would've 'won' without the injury........Beltran is a good fighter and probably would've deserved the victory regardless

As I said he deserves more criticism for The Gonzalez performance

Beltran deserved the win because he broke Ricky's jaw, but I'm not gonna say Burns is crap because he fought poorly with a broken jaw

Maybe Kevin would be stopped in 3?
Mitchell would never beat burns simply because he's mentally very weak

Please explain. He deserves credit for carrying on, but it is not a valid reason or excuse for his performance because the break was a result of his ****-poor defense.

For goodness sake he had a broken jaw for 30 mins with Beltran trying to hit him, have you ever been punched let alone someone trying to hit your broken jaw, as I say shows your total lack of never been in a boxing ring/gym to the fore

You still haven't explained your point.

It is a FACT that Burns' jaw was broken due to his poor defense.

As I said, all credit to him for continuing but it's no excuse.

Solaris try and compare it to a football player trying to perform with a broken leg it can't be done.
Broken jaw aside Burns wasn't marked up at all, I beleive if there's a rematch Burns wins

well, not as highly as he was before the last 2 fights he's had. he looked all over the place. he was swinging at nothing by being too over eager to land harder shots.

if he doesn't settle down to his boxing again, it could be the end of the road. it's entirely up to him now.

It's also a FACT that Beltran couldn't finish Burns despite his poor defence.

Burns is good and is boxing at a high level.
