his win over peter would be great had peter been great. fact is he was a belt holder making defense #1 against ....and he won the belt vs perhaps the worst guy to ever own a belt in Oleg Mascaev

Vitali did fight the best and lost, Wlad never faced the best or second best of his era...dont tell me era is 4 years Vitali was retired, Wlad never faced Lennox and than never faced Vitali, who 100% is better than anyone Wlad ever faced so if he isnt better than Wlad he definitely is second best and Wlad did not face him, i respect them not fighting because they are brothers but that definitely will and should impact their legacies, to bad they are related but it is what it is.

You clearly don't understand how options work. Promoters use them to maximize the profit. Boxer's opinions are secondary. Since options are usually valid for 6 months Universum figured out that Wlad-Byrd was the best way to keep the belt in-house since Vitali was still recovering from surgery. After that Byrd was free from obligations and signed with DK.

I don't think that we can rate Vitally higher on the grounds that he lost to Lennox Lewis.

I could have lost to Lennox Lewis.

Lets go on who they beat.

No I understand perfectly how options work. If Vits wanted the fight he could have told Wlad to turn the fight down. And this doesn't excuse why he didn't try to avenge his loss to Byrd after Wlad. Both were top 10 ranked in 2002 and were the numbers 1 and 2 contenders in 2003.

I dont say Vitali should be ranked above Wlad i simply stated that Wlad never proved he is the better of two brothers, he has better resume but it absolutely isnt brilliant one...
And fighting Lennox at least we got to see Vitali in the ring vs ATG fighter and only time we have seen Wlad in that situation is in Oceans Eleven i think...

Your stats mean nothing. On paper Ottke was undefeated IBF Champ for 9 years. DM was lineal LH champ with 20 defenses. They are nothing men in boxing. Times have changed Janitor. Accept it.

That shows your ignorance on how the business side of boxing works.

I seriously doubt you would be up on all cards after 6 rounds.

No it shows Vits never made a rematch in 2002 or 2003. A rematch would have been huge in Germany but Vits never sought it. THESE...ARE...FACTS!!

You mean what you're doing now? No. Supposedly I was repeatedly calling someone a racist and spreading rumors about other posters. But please feel free to comb through my last week of posting to verify this is pure BS. We both know I was banned because a certain mod/admin likes to take up for the Kliterati and true racists when Im thumping them with facts.

    Thanks Jab,

How can I make an accurate guess? Well, I have been doing this for over 20 years. I understand the fighters styles, tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. I also under stand the records of the fighters, who they beat, who they struggled to beat, and of course who they lost to.

Super heavies with skills such as Bowe, Lewis, Vitali, and Wlad have over 250 combined fights. How many decisions did they lose? Just one. Bowe II to Holyfield and it was very close, and marred with a 17 minute delay. What does this tell you?

It says very big heavies who can box aren't likely to be out boxed. You need power to beat them, or a hope for a fluke injury. To match many boxers pre 1960 with Vitali is a losing proportion for 99% of the guys pre 1960.
