    Monaghan is keeping his guard up as Smith rushes in, catching him with some jabs. A fair amount of clinching as Smith mauls his way in, dropping overhands artlessly, getting blocked.

    Monaghan is bombing Smith out with jabs and powerful overhand rights. Smith is ducking in under the overhand rights, but getting caught with short left hooks on the cheekbone, rocking him back outside into range of the rights. Monaghan is clobbering Smith, with the referee having a close look. Smith is given time to show something, but just keeps getting totaled. Waved off.
