tyson was the wba, wbc and ibf champ because spinks was stripped of his ibf title when he chose to fight cooney.

when tyson and spinks fought michael did not have a single title to his name and he was nowhere near the top dog in the division as he was a 4-1 dog against tyson.

Spinks was THE champion. he moved up and beat Holmes twice. Hence why they had to call Tyson the 'undisputed champion' and Spinks THE Heavyweight champion when they introduced the fighters

For sure you understand this? Like when Roy moved up and won the trinket WBA belt. Lennox Lewis was THE champion. How do you not understand this? Simply winning the WBC, WBA and IBF belts when there is ALREADY a legitimate lineal champion it doesn't mean ****. They are trinkets. And if Roy was fighting such good competition why was Merchant having to apologize to HBO customers? :huh

 

Dm lost the Wba and Ibf for failing to fight his mandos ,both those belts were picked up by Devalle and Johnson,Roy beats them both ! Explain how they were trinkets when Jones beat the guys holding those belts :huh

 

That isn't exactly how it happened. And Del Valle was awful and a joke of a fight. Like Merchant said Roy shouldn't have been taking those type fights at that point. Roy loved trinket belts and it is why he moved up to Heavyweight and fought Ruiz instead of THE champion.

I never claimed Roy was THE HW champion.. Only a belt holder ranked #3 at the weight...

Roy beat better competition, it was never DM's intent to keep those belts, look at his resume for proof, he would have never been able to keep them...

And as I asked above, You have said Calzaghe moved up and beat THE lhw Champ, I would like for you to explain how that was even possible, using your own logic above.

I proved to you that Roy was actually fighting top fighters for most of his LHW run on HBO, better than DM or Joe at SMW for instance.. If top 10 rated fighters are not good enough for your standards, then perhaps you should have tried to fight Roy... you hate him like he screwed your momma.
