After recent stupid score cards ,last night included i think there has to be some kind of change to how fights are scored.
this is a sport and also peoples careers and lives that are on the line and these fighters are being let down badly...as are the paying public and also anyone gambling on the fights!!its wrong on many levels.
I am not sure what the answer is ?perhaps more judges so as 1 rogue scorecard wont make the difference to a result? or ex boxers/trainers scoring top fights?

    something needs done IMO

shambolic last night. I scored it 117-112, a few rounds tough to score but how on earth any1 can make a case for marquez winning is beyond me

    agreed,
i had Bradley 5 rounds ahead,i can understand 3 ,at a push 2 but to have Marquez 2 rounds up is at best incompetent and more likely corrupt

No point expecting justice from pro sport. It's just business.

I score PROFESSIONAL boxing on these criteria:
    1. Who does the most damage.
    2. Who lands more punches
    3. Who lands the cleaner punches.

Other things you have to take into account, in particular in close rounds are:
    1. Who leads the action.
    2. Which boxer seemed more purposeful and in control.

That is proper scoring criteria. After taking all of that into account how anyone can say this was a clear decision to Bradley is beyond me.

See this is where it can get messy, what if a fighter is boxing off the back foot?

Have 5 judges and ignore the highest & lowest scores. Not perfect, but harder/more expensive to rig.

After Pac beat Bradley, one of Bradley's judges was asked about the scoring, while showing a round where Pac landed 2 punches to Bradley's 1, the judge said that the fans do not know anything about boxing, can't score a fight, not qualified, that same judge later resigned!

Then there was the Provodnikov fight in which Provodnikov left Bradley on the canvas! Bradley's speech was slurred, was dizzy, his head looked like it had been in a hornet's nest. Bradley's judge did not count all the knock downs, good thing for Bradley. So...........who is paying the judges, or rather who is really paying the judges and ref?

Increasing the amount of judges would only increase the amount of bad scorecards.

The only way it will ever change is if the all the boxers themselves made a stand and refused to fight for certain promoters or under certain governing bodies and formed their own commision. Which will never happen because boxing is controlled by money

It has been time for about 40 years now, nothing changes.
The judges and referees are flawed.
The 10 point must system is flawed.
The commentators and networks are flawed.
