Roy didn't offer anything.

Kerry Davis of HBO came up with the proposal, and had to fax it over, because again, Kohl was purposely ignoring the calls at that point.

Roy paid Brad Jacobs to meet with Davis to try and get it done.

You are free to look at DM's resume anytime you want, to see who he fought after negotiations broke down.

It tells you exactly what his intentions were.

Earlier this year, you were happy to run with someone's else's opinion, and you posted up a long list of guys who Roy should have fought who were supposedly deserving of a fight while at 168.

You criticised him for missing all of these guys.

I pulled the list to shreds!

Three guys on the list who were supposedly deserving of a fight, didn't even fight at the weight.

I destroyed it!

It had got Darrin Van Horn, Victor Cordorba and Ray Close on it.

If Jones really wanted DM, he'd offered a fight and not an undercard slot. He was offered a fight against the champ in Germany and again he declined.

So Lewis didn't speak to Roy?

Murad didn't speak to Lewis's team?

Roy didn't meet with Tyson and speak to him at length over the phone?

None of that happened?


How exactly could Roy have sat down and discussed actual figures etc, when Lewis wasn't sure if he was going to fight again?

They couldn't discuss the specifics, until Lewis had made his mind up on what he was going to do.

First he was looking to have 2-3 more fights, then he was looking to fight a Vitali rematch, then he was interested again in Roy.

But in the end, he retired.


Specifics also couldn't be discussed with Tyson in 2003, with everything that was happening in his life at the time.

He didn't end up fighting again until the following summer.

But by that point, Tarver had already knocked out Roy, and Tyson couldn't get past Danny Williams.

You even try and note what fighters were thinking atsch and without proof answer things like Collins wasnt a big enough fight for Jones because of the WBO title etc. Have you got that from Jones?

 

It would have been a fight for a trinket belt just like the Ruiz fight was and just what Roy did in every weight class he ever fought in. Fight for vacant or trinket belts. The ONLY fight at Heavyweight that meant anything would have been a Lewis fight. He wasn't going to risk that and even someone as delusional as you knows that.
