My pick is Stevenson as well. Avenged his only loss, won the lineal crown, and defended his title. Great year.

To be honest it's be quite interesting to see who get's fighter of the year since all the names that were mention on this thread had a very impressive victories over solid opponents. If I had to pick the fighter on the year award than I probably give to Stevenson. Stevenson blast Chad Dawson out the ring in 1 round and stopped TKO Cloud which in my opinion is very impressive. This is a guy that went from a stronger contender to very solid champion within the year and his performance against Cloud was impressive.

Yeah Floyd probably should have fought Chop Chop again instead. It would have been the second most necessary and anticipated rematch of the year, trailing only Donaire-Vic.

Bradley, "Chicken Of The Year", Provodnikov turned Bradley into a chicken.

    "El Pollo" Bradley!

For me honours are even between Stevenson and Kovalev.

Both have 3 ko wins. Both have become champions. Though Stevensons Lineal title holds more weight.

Steveson fought 3 fighters coming off losses.

Kovalev fought 2 coming off wins and a third (Campillo) who had just be robbed by one of Stevensons victims (Cloud) - which in effect means he beat 3 winning opponents. All 3 of Kovs were top 10 (inc White - just)

    For me :

    Campillo > Cloud

    White > Boone

Dawson > Cleverly (though Dawson had just been battered and Clev was unbeaten)

    Kov went KO3, KO3, KO3 (Ok 4 officially)
    Stevenson KO6, KO1, KO7

Both are fighting for a forth time on NOV 30th and this might just split the tie (for me Bellew and Sillakh are roughly equal level opponents despite Sillakh having basically disappeared from the rankings).

What both these guys have done; The LHW Lineal, 2 Titles, 6 fights, 6 stoppages against 5 top 10 opponents with another fight left this year eclipses the achievements of anyone else in boxing this year.

Bradley was arguably lucky to get past Provodnikov and beat a 40 yo JMM. 2 fights in neither of which he showed anything particularly remarkable. Yes he's very skilled , quick and showed a lot of heart in taking a beating off Ruslan, but that ain't better than 3 or 4 high level KOs in my book.
