I know he tried to offer Micheal Nunn a 90/10 split that HBO said they can't even draft a contract that one sided.:rofl

His dad told him certain fighters "punched too hard"

    Did you know that?

See athletes do this thing called training. It is pretty rigorous and happens over a period of years. He was no longer a Middleweight. So you are telling me in even 1999 or 2000 Roy could have got back to 160? :huh

I mean it is his natural weight right? See how dumb that sounds?

its impressive that you can type that without a hint of irony, cos its so loaded with it that it'd have Magneto spinning it all day.

Byrd was never a true heavyweight either. Looking back he doesn't get near the credit for the **** he went through at Heavyweight. He fought everyone. Balls of steel that Chris Byrd and a super nice guy.

Do you understand that people have different frames? And Roy's frame was not that of a HW?

He was more of a HW than Roy, he spent the large majority of his career there... He just looked weird at LHW, and didn't seem to be able to absorb what he could at HW.

    This isn't even about 'frames'.

Could Jones have made MW in 1999 or 2000. I am giving the benefit of the doubt and not even using 2003.

It was his natural weight right? Should have had no problem just shrinking back down and fighting Hopkins again.

Yes he spent more of his career there but the guy had to go through hell to do it. He wasn't a natural Heavyweight in any shape or form. It is just odd to me how he could survive and win two 'titles' at the weight and have several successful defenses of his IBF belt at Heavyweight yet Roy couldn't be bothered to fight anyone other than Johnny Ruiz.:rofl

once you fry an egg, can you put it back in its shell? course not. we see wat you are saying.

people do lose weight back to teen weights all the time, but that doesn't mean they don't suffer some side effects. a man is not an omelette.

He would of had to lose muscle he purposely put on.... I wouldn't reccomend it, we saw what just losing 10 lbs of muscle did to him.

When Roy fought at HW he was 34, already had a long career, was looking for a big fight against a big name, for big money and eyeballing retirement.. he had no intentions of cleaning out the division fighting mandatories and defenses...

How many times do you need to hear this?

OK big fights and big names. Why even fight Ruiz? :huh That contradicts everything you are saying.......

Additionally there is only 1 year age difference between Roy and Byrd......

Calzaghe was a ****ing joke. An undefeated record isn't all that impressive when 95% of the people you fought were bums. He beat Jones because Roy was shot at that point and Hopkins was robbed. Nothing more to discuss.
