Khan ducked him till Bradley signed with TOP Rank, then all of a sudden, Khan called him out when he knew the fight was impossible...

That JWW run was incredible. Just take a look at the fighters he beat.. 3 fighters became world champions after he beat them.. 1 is heading there.. Witter was one of the most avoided fighters of that time and was unbeaten for like forever.. And Holt was a top fighter back then.

Not yet. Marquez is a great fighter, but one opponent cannot raise your stock into the HOF or huge jumps in P4P ranking. Same reason I though people were nuts ranking Marquez top 5 or top 3 even P4P based entirely on his fights with Pac. For me HOF and P4P is about how well you do against a variety of opponents and styles. Marquez was just born to give Pac's style fits. Outside of that he couldn't beat half the top guys Pac beat.

Aside from Marquez being over rated recently though, he is still a great fighter and this is a great step in the right direction for Timmy.

The thread at no point said that he's a HOFer. At no point I said that, I just stated what Bradley said.

I'm on the fence... The guy's got an impressive resumé, consistently beats world-class guys, and he just beat an ATG convincingly... It may well be a 'yes' when it's all said and done, but what's the rush? The guy's just 30 years old. Let's see how his career unfolds and then talk about were to place him.

With that said, if he can rematch Pac and win convincingly, he's probably a lock.

Oh and by the way, enough with the "Gatti and McGuigan were inducted too" arguments. The question here is wether WE think he belongs.

    Not yet.

He could very well have lost his last three fights.

Alexander had only beaten Urango and a shot to **** Witter by the time he fought Bradly, so he wasn't fighting for the lineal spot in that fight.

Khan had beaten Malignaggi, Kotelnik (who beat alexander) and Maidana. a much, much better resume than Devon at the time.

to get THE man in the division, the top two (Khan/Bradley) would need to fight each other.

the fight looked likely to happen because Bradley, alongside his father, were calling Khan a ***** and telling him to come and fight. Khan had to first get his mandatory (Maidana) out the way, and show the boxing world that he was willing to fight anyone (boxing fans were calling for that Maidana fight. they said he didn't have the courage to take it. and if he did, he'd be knocked out. Khan proved them all wrong)

but after Khan won that fight, Bradley soon had a change of heart. he realised that Khan could fight (he didn't beforehand). so Khan was the one willing to get the fight made and even offered Bradly a 50/50 split of the purse. but Bradley kept his mouth closed from that point on.

have you seen when Khan approached Bradley at one of the fights only for Bradley to keep his head bowed like a little boy as Khan was asking him to put his money where his mouth was? it's funny as hell. Bradly got well and truly sonned that night for all to see. pretty embarrassing for him actually. especially after all the **** he was saying.

Bradley then went and fought a shot to **** Casamayor. i know he got the Pac fight straight after that but, he still should have cleared things up at JWW to find the lineal champ. his "fight" with Alexander was for no such thing.

 i love how people try to change history. that didn't happen at all. it was Bradley who called Khan out, not the other way round. Khan had his big fight with Maidana to get out of the way first, then he'd talk. but Bradley got cold feet after seeing how tough Khan was in that fight.

Khan even offered him 50/50 of the fight purse to get the fight made.

it was Bradly who ducked. it was Bradley who ended up looking like a fool after calling Khan a ***** only to run when Khan came his way. :deal

    that's the truth.

um no. it was understood that khan would fight maidana and bradley would fight alexander with the winners taking on each other... bradley ducked khan

at op no.... gifted decision vs pacman has tarnished his rep... needs more solid wins against top opposition. bradley is good not great

At this point, it's probably too early to say, but I think his accomplishments due warrant consideration when his career is over.

The thing about the hall of fame is it's not the same as being considered an ATG...there are people in there that are less accomplished than he is and there are people not in who are not in who are more accomplished.

However, I do believe he's done enough to warrant consideration and you can make a good case...I just don't think it's an absolute certainty. He's on the right track for sure though.

Yeah I'm all to familiar with that situation and completely agree about the duck as far as the undisputed title goes to my knowledge a fight between #1 & 3 is acceptable at times and at the time Bradley, Kahn, & Alexander were #1, 2,&3 in whatever order you saw it
