Damn i'm tired of doing this, lets make sure it sticks for once. Here's some dry numbers for you, first the supposed robbery in Pac JMM 3: "Among the unofficial scorers above, 57 scored the bout for Marquez, 51 scored the bout for Pacquiao, and the remaining 36 scored the bout a draw." That's a textbook draw. Now here's a textbook robbery for you: "Among the experts above, 121 scored the bout for Pacquiao, 1 scored the bout a draw, and 1 scored the bout for Bradley."
Again, the only scorecards that matter are those of the official judges at ringside. You can like it or not, but the fact remains Bradley holds an official win over Pacquiao. :deal
Fair enough, just bringing to your attention that a great majority did score it wider that 8-4, including many you'd consider credible, or definitely not prejudiced for Pac. In fact 9-3 on average. Here's a stat you'll never see in a close fight: On press row there were more 11-1 for Pac than 7-5 for Pac + draw + all Bradley wins combined. That's more near shutouts than all "close scores" combined.
Gotcha, you don't believe in robberies in boxing. That's a pretty naive POV, even total noobs know it happens a lot BTW, do you finally see the difference between JMM 3 and Bradley?
it's a really big sample, rarely do they get 120+ scorecards. It's cause it was so shocking, that's why you have Jeff Mayweather and Danny Garcia stepping forward with the 10-2 scorecards
Which are as meaningless as the rest of the scorecards from anyone who wasn't an official judge for the fight. Bradley officially beat Pacquiao and that isn't up for debate. :deal
I don't know any chump that goes around saying, Rios officially beat Abril, deal with it. Nor for PWill Lara, nobody says respect the idiot judges. Now I see you're yet to learn that robberies exist in boxing, but how come I've never seen you say, Rios beat Abril, not up for debate? You should make a thread about it, right some wrongs.
I'm not asking you to respect the "idiot" judges. I'm merely pointing out the fact that their opinions are the only ones that really matter as far as the official records are concerned.
Fine, but that hardly matters when everyone knows the sport is corrupt as hell. Duane Ford and CJ Ross have become the stuff of jokes since. People still talk about Whittaker getting robbed vs Chavez and Ramirez, decades later. So how's that "Rios beat Abril" thread going?
Supposedly JMM only went for Bradley for the title. So it may have changed a lot. For one, JMM might have retired right after the Pac KO with that 5th belt, no better time to go out. This way he sticks around too long, loses in the ring, and loses near everyone's respect for being an super sore loser. Would have spared him this huge fall from grace.
in terms of intent then yes it makes a difference, my bad. I think I mean in terms of end result, everything has worked out in the right place for Bradley though that still doesn't shake the unfair cheat label or the justworthy fear of losing to khan label. Brad still has lots to prove AS A CHAMPION, beating a 40 year old and life and death with a brute is a poor start.
For sure Tim was not a legit welter champ and gained some cred and standing with this win over the rightful WBO champ. But that neglects all the good work he did at 140, where he may not have fought everyone, but still has 4 good top 10 wins and no losses.
