Dereck Chisora v Arnold Gjergjaj for Nov 30th

Chisora says he wants to fight Pulev next so this is just a keep busy fight. Whether he gets Pulev depends on Wlad taking a voluntary before he faces Pulev (which would make sense).

never heard of this opponent but I think it is clever match making taking an unbeaten record. nice fight to end the year and then build up his record fighting decent opposition but nothing to give him to many problems. the most important thing is for him to carry on winning and winning in impressive style like against gerber, hopefully he will fight Gerber and Scott level opposition for 1 - 2 years to build up a nice record because he probably won't get a title shot for 2 or 3 years so needs to work his way into mandatory position, and as wilder has proved you can fight useless opponents and still move up the rankings, but he needs to fight better opposition than wilder is. I think wilder is a good fight for del boy although wilder won't take it.

 

I can't believe people seriously want to see Chisora get a title shot against Wladimir.
Chisora was destroyed by Haye just last year.... and in the grand scheme of things that means he's pretty ****.

Beating Malik Scott and Edmund Gerber is a step in the right direction but that level of opposition really doesn't make Chisora a serious contender yet.

He'd have to beat Pulev, or a revenge win over the winner of Haye v Fury, to really make him a worthy opponent for Wladimir.
Haven't we seen Klitschko fight enough bums already ?

 

Someone undefeated but not a threat- Luis Ortiz would fit the bill nicely. That might not happen if he fights for the vacant WBA strap early next year.

 

Agree with everything you say except the last few words.I think Wilder WOULD take it and Id make it 60 40 in his favour.Great fight though,but maybe too risky for both.

 

By that I mean their handlers would see discretion as the better part of valour,as either one could get a crack soon.I think either boxer would take the fight.

 

I like Del Boy he has calmed down since the Haye scrap. I would like to see Chisora face

Hes keeping active,which is the main thing.The Scott victory must have put him in the top 10.Then he won the Euro title against a boxer with only one loss.This guy,although unknown,is unbeaten.If he wins this,surely hell have earned a shot without fighting Wilder etc. particularly with a great showing against Vitali and the Helenius robbery?Our other 2 top guys have been inactive,Fury through no fault of his own.But despite Del being inferior to them,this last year has surely put him in a better position for a shot at Wlad next year?Thats if his antics in Deutschland haven't permanently scuppered his chances.

Haye is the best heavyweight outside of the Klitchko brothers so I am not sure as to how you come to the conclusion he is pretty **** for losing to him.

He was beginning to get to haye until haye caught him, many people saw haye losing if it went any further.

@true_hero - good post and thats Fr.ank War.ren for you, he has always been a great match maker who makes sure his fighters come out smelling of roses. Look at ricky burns for example, hes looked dogshite under matchroom.

 

1) The assumption Chisora would win was based on the fallacy that Haye gasses.

2) What fights did you suggest Hearn made for Burns? One a mandatory, another vs a gatekeeper. How is it his fault Burns has been shown up?

 

Watch the fight again between Chisora and Haye and you will see haye is ****ed and very much relieved to see the end of the fight.

Burns has looked like shite, are you denying it? Because he looked a million dollars under FW.
