So because fat boy Nipples Areola couldn't beat Stiverne and become mandatory punching bag for vitali they have created this tournament to by pass Vitali's Mandatory defense against Stiverne, and install the winner of this farce as Vitali's "new Mandatory defense so that he can retire without ever facing a challenging opponent. any thoughts?
Vitali better fight Stiverne or relinquish his title. That's his two options, anything other than that and I will boycott him like I do his octopus brother.

All of the WBC World Cup matches will be held on consecutive Friday nights commencing October 18 with two matches on each promotion. The event will have a length of 24 weeks with 40 World Cup fights, plus the four final dates. All fights will be twelve-rounders. The WBC World Cup Champions in each division will be designated as the official mandatory challengers.

I like Vitali but I wish he had just retired after Charr like he said he would Not sure if he had a legit injury to postpone the Stiverne fight or if he wants to enter politics, its like he is waiting for something I kinda wish Vitali would hang em up and Stiverne vs Arreola II for the vacated title, either way I want the rematch to happen
People are crazy! How is this a bad thing? Contenders fighting each other. We all have been waiting for this. This is good for boxing. Maybe the first fights are against not a name opponents but the semifinal and the final looks very promising. Also, Stiverne is the mandatory. He doesnt need to be in the tournament. Its not like this tournament will be done in less than a year. The winner will be the next mandatory challenger for the champ after Stiverne. No conspiracy there.
Well this tournament will last 24 weeks so the mandatory won't be decided until the beginning of April 2014, so hopefully Vitali will have recovered by then and Stiverne gotten his shot or Vitali retired. If Vitali does retire hopefully Stiverne will ether be promoted to full champion or made to fight the winner of the World Cup for the title. The tournament is good for the sport, but if it is used to screw Stiverne over it would be a travesty and I'd expect Stiverne to sue the WBC into near ruin again like Rocchigiani did.
