That forms the basis of your assesment of Spinks not being able to fight at MW under todays rules with weigh in the day before. Not even at an younger age and a less developed frame. Talk about ******ed logic.

Several, if not most, MW weigh more than that come fight night as it is today.

 

By the time they fought Jones was not an elite fighter and the underdog..

In 2002, Jones was elite and Calzaghe would be a big underdog....

The fight happened when it no longer mattered, much like Hopkins-Jones 2..

It was a good payday for Calzaghe to cash in on, and that is all it was.
