    sorry thats now how it works. the bell rings and its time to fight. if a fighter looks at the ref for an yreason and the other guy clocks him and gets koed, then that on him. floyd did not commit on foul in that fight, nothing he did was against any rule in boxing.

    fact not up for debate

    Are you *****'s completely ******ed? What about Floyd's elbows smashing on Vics jaw? There was one seen plain as day in slo mo that floyd landed on ortiz right before Ortiz head butt.

    Cortez was not ready, he wasn't even looking at the fighters. Floyd knew he had victor defenseless and like a coward took his free shots at him. Amazing this so called P4P ATG has to cheapshot his way to a win.

    If tables turned, there would have been a brawl inside the ring and Ortiz would have been Dq'd and probably shot for sucker punching Floyd and KO ing hi.

    FLOYD = COWARD:
    afraid in a way that makes you unable to do what is right or expected : lacking courage

    Floyd was getting roughed up and put into an uncomfortable state. The headbutt justified all of the elbows floyd was landing on Ortiz's jaw. 1 point off was icing on the cake but nope, Floyd see's his opponent profusely apologizing, guard down, ref not paying attention, and he takes the coward way out of the fight, robbing everyone that paid good money for it.

    Who gives a f*ck who Ortiz was lookin at. Hes in a fight and shouldve been looking at floyd. The headbutts started in the first round and he got KTFO for tge worst one.

    It was epic to see in person. I will always have a very favorable memory of this fight. One of my favorite Mayweather fights to rewatch and to show others.

    Totally legit KO. KO4.

    :lol: Gotta love those phantom elbows people keep talking about. An opponent can't even beat Mayweather and the excuses they latch on to are, "he threw elbows".

    lol i revisted this fight, partly because of this thread and partly because its half 2 in the mornin and i cant sleep, and man, the 24/7s are great for mayweather/ortiz and the fight itself is entertaining.

    cortez does a horrific job of officiating. he let ortiz kiss him right after headbutting him. why would you let a fighter walk up to his opponent after a blatant headbutt.

    DQed for what? Victor acted like an a idiot in this fight. He got frustrated because nothing he was doing was getting to Mayweather. So he resorted to illegal crap and then basically looked for the ref to give him the fight and then quit when Mayweather legally punched him. Protect yourself at ALL times. When the ref says BOX you had better be ready to go.

    While it may have been technically legal only a cowardly punk would cold **** another fighter like that. You complain about Ortiz headbutt but what about Floyds forearm smashes? I guess coz its Floyd theyre ok ??
