When they jumped ship to BN Hearn basically said he didn't think Barry was a promoter- and TBH I agreed....but we've had a good card, the arena is sold out with a fantastic atmosphere...hopefully Parodi will put up a good fight then the night will have been perfect :D

Hearn said he didn't want co promote. Didn't say anything about Barry's promoting skills.

To think that fast car Hearn wanted Frampton to fight on Luke Campbell's undercard in
    Shithole Hull.

Great card and great atmosphere, very good matches some very even ones, problem is Hearn's cards will get better ratings and thats what the likes of Sky look at

Great card & the icing on the cake was a very accomplished performance from Carl Frampton!

    Well done to all involved.

Hearn does what he feels is best for his business overall, his has no commitment to helping any of his fighters beyond that.
Same craic with Paul McCloskey, McCloskey had the opportunity to fight Soulemane M'Baye for the Interim Welterweight title, but Hearn didn't like that fight and wanted him to fight Curtis Woodhouse instead !

I can't criticise how Hearn runs his business, obviously its very successful (facilitated by a monopoly with Sky), but Irish boxing needed to get the **** away from him for its own sake !
So well done McGuigan and co

How could McGuigan not be good at anything to do with boxing? As well as being a great boxer,he's an intelligent guy and idolised by almost everybody, justifiably.

He's gave Paul McCloskey numerous opportunities culminating headlining a PPV. He fecked himself over with his continued dreadful performances. Still Hearn stuck by him and he deadlines 2 further shows putting in embarassing showings. Only so long you can stick by someone who simply isn't justifying his worth.

He's hardly sold sand to an Arab ffs. What has he managed to do that Hearn didn't?

It wasn't exactly a top match up last night. Parodi isn't the best. And it seems Mcguigan is no closer to a shot at Martinez.

I remember him saying he didn't agree with Barry's path. He wanted to fight more in the UK to get him more mainstream.
